In regards to #252 and more specifically the point about mouse accuracy and moving.
I've found that my spam right click is more of a habit than an actual accuracy problem - I have a friend that was pretty good when I got the game, and I guess I became a victim of monkey-see monkey-do.
I'm trying to move away from it, but habits are hard ;x

So about his #252 daily, he said that scrolling with the mouse was one of the worst things you could do so would it make sense to practice with mouse scroll turned off and relying on the minimap to "scroll" around the map?

Maybe. You still need the scrolling for when large battles happen or when it's just more efficient to scroll on the side for like .1 second instead of reaching to the minimap.

I know this isnt exactly electronica but Day[9]s precast music inspired me to look for new music and I found this :

I agree. Even playing against my bronze Protoss buddy tonight, queens were a great help. All you need is an extra 3-4 Drones to constantly produce Queens from two bases. And 8 Broodlords are comically effective when paired with who knows how many transfuses

Can someone possibly remind me of how day9 got manfred back? I thought he was lost a while back and shipped to the wrong address. Maybe I'm confused but I don't think so and I haven't been able to keep up on the dailies

What about when you have 3 bases? How about 4? I have seen up to 6 bases in some Pro games. It's inefficient to hotkey them all.

What most people do instead is hotkey all CC's, Nexi and Hatcheries to same hotkey. At least, that's what I do as protoss. The benefit of this "F1/F2/F3/F4 to move to the location" is that you can easily set F2 and F3 for example as your current 2 bases that are active (or more if you have more bases). Because if all Nexi are in same hotkey, you can't use that hotkey to jump to the location of that nexus. Instead, you use the F1-F4 keys.

Remember, the location you save to F1-F4 doesn't have to be your base. It might just as well be your unit rally location, or some other place where you may want to jump on regular basis or fast.


Ain't that what backspace is for, moving between all bases? I was under the impression zerg used that, if not doing larvae via minimap (which chronoboost works with too incedentally).

Im pretty sure the above story was related to Manfred's predecessor, possibly even a story from daily 100, although I could be mistaken about that

I think he needs to do one on Scouting... different strategies for different races, what to look for, what what you see means, and how important it is in general... I'm a terrible silver league dummy, and that's the thing I need to work on the most.

has anybody tried the no queen thing yet? is it 1 queen per hatch constantly? or just 1 queen must be building at all times? I am really struggling with 1 queen constantly from each hatch i have about 10 queens and no army >< lol

it's only 1 queen a time..when your one-basing and have to upgrade stuff, you don't have to build queens..

but the general theme is funky plays with shittons of queens ^^
