I suggest you choose the four contestants for the Fight Night from your viewers of the Daily in chat. One of the benefits would be a huge increase in viewership. Other benefits are to have viewers have their game cast, plus their play-style commented by Day 9. There are some hurdles, but they can be overcome: 1. Choosing participants. Have your chat moderators select the four players. You can have JP arrange the matches (e.g. inviting the players). 2. Length of games. Put a time limit of ... 30 minutes on each game. If a game appears to be a stalemate after 30 minutes, the winner is chosen by a predetermined criteria. I suggest the amount of resources lost. That is, the player who has lost the most resources loses the game. There may be a more appropriate measure. This limit is needed because you may select two players who turtle and create a long game. 3. Stream viewing. It is possible that a participant will watch the stream and see what their opponent is doing. Nothing can be done about this, so I suggest encouraging this. One thing Day 9 has said is that his game became much better when he played as if his opponent was using a map hack. Well, a live cast game is the ultimate map hack. If both players are able to see what the other is doing, then neither will be at an advantage. Yes, it will change the way the game is played, but this isn't a meta-game change, it is entertainment for Fight Night. Thanks for casting and thanks for reading. wooow you are talking about fliping a coin to decide the winner of a match when it lasts longer than 30min? O_o i mean...seriously??? also you realise the fight night is casted from replays, which in this case is far superior to a live cast?! and i honestly don't believe there would be one single viewer more..it's probably more likely that nobody would watch it who would like to watch some guys play you never heard from and who are not half as good as qxc, zelniq and all the others especially if it's just a normal shoutcasted match and not some newby tuesday analysis i enjoyed the TLO daily and the fightnight quite a lot ![]() pretty awesome you actually do something for the community with some of the money you got

With the exception of when his computer crashed, the games were live. I do agree that pros are generally more fun to watch than newbies, unless there's imposed hilarity (ala Funday Monday) or lots of educational analysis (ala Newbie Tuesday). A live game between newbies would be difficult to inject awesomeness into, because what you get could easily be very boring material. With the replay submissions for Monday/Tuesday Day9 is able to pick the most entertaining/educational replays, out of a sea of boring ones.

We learn how to deal with it, how to survive all sorts of things, but if he explains how everybody should pressure everybody, we might get the game a lot more offensive and less turtleish! You mean like, "submit a replay where you tried to put on early pressure, but it didn't really work out," or something like that? "How to apply early pressure" is going to be very build dependent. I'd love to see more dailies where Day9 shows some of his play where he's working out a build order. Perhaps one that includes an early timing push or just has room for lots of early aggression.

But yea its actually quite fast and easy to inject larvae via minimap. If you have bunch of queens in a control group it automaticly selects the closest one, and hatcheries are quite big in the minimap, so its just 5-v-click-v-click-c-click.

Matrix but with hearts instead of numbers and no "blondes, brunettes, redheads" Cypher was an awesome villain. Another reason to love Day9.

Wednesday Night Fights is completely awesome. Please keep doing them. :-D I hope you get some sponsors so you don't have to shell out $400/month of your own money, but other than that it was great. Really nice seeing a relatively unknown player with some really uncommon strats, too (Ranged)! Thanks!

Especially the MacGyver-esque stuff with the replay after the crash :D I like this thought of a very small, friendly "tourney" with just a few, but selected players and even no money on the line (well ok, its $100, but the main gain is fun i guess )Keep that up, Sean!
