Hi Day[9]. Could you do a daily showing some Zerg strategies? The one I have most trouble with at the moment is ZvP. Maybe you can get Artosis to provide some replays if you don't have any great ones of your own. I just watched a game on his livestream and it looked like his build was basically a *lot* of spine crawlers (around 12) to defend his main & natural from ground attack, and then mass mutalisks, being very aggressive as soon as he had about 5 and getting the force up to about 20 mutalisks which provided a very mobile strike force. Of course he also maintained a small force of zerglings with the excess minerals, but there were not enough to hold off a stalker attack on their own.

Anyway I would much appreciate your comments on Zerg strategy, especially ZvP and ZvT. I bet there is an old Daily that I haven't found yet that covers Zerg in StarCraft 2. Perhaps somebody could point me to that, although it's been a while so maybe it would be out of date after all these patches.

I have the same problem. I think the vod just loads extremely slow because when i pause it for 5 mins i can watch without interruption for about 2 mins, then it starts buffering again.

Curiosity, simply because it matters in a large way when dealing with certain units (banelings especially) but how does Snipe scale with upgrades? Since it is primarily a mid-game unit for such purposes, I am curious if anyone has done the testing.

like some other, try to watch the last show on VOD, but it freeze every 5 secondes for 10 secondes.. almost unwatchable.
dont have any issue with the other VOD (maybe a little out of sync sound for the news on UStream. but not a major issue)

Day(9) my dear friend and fellow geeky nerd type fellow.

One needs to find a methodology to obscure or move the USTREAM logo. I know, I know, it would seem at first that this is troublesome or impossible or many other things like that. I imagine even that someone at some point has probably mentioned this in the past!

All this said though though sir, it is rather important. It is (obviously) not a tech problem from their end as it can't be more than a couple of lines or more likely a few variables for them to offset it differently. Still, they'll most likely ignore or lie to you for an extended period of time, as I would for a non-rev consumer I guess. Push it though!

Unless of course there is a hook to unit/food and then just place a custom one in the LR or wherever.

Either way, smiles and love and all that. Should you want a nasty legalese letter to convince them of the 'proper' way to conduct business then cool there too but frankly, my background is IP-slash-squishy-stuff and sure as hell not contract.

any problems you're having w/ the last video, just ignore it. It's a miracle that video isn't completely and totally ruined beyond belief. I'll try to re-edit it and fix it asap. For now, I'll leave the damaged one up!

Hey day, saw this posted before but have you thought of leaving the production or resource tab open when possible? So then we can see food count and you dont have to worry about some stupid logo you cant do anything about :p

after some test, i can confirm that the last VOD "lag issue" is loading time only.

if you wait like 25 minutes to load the vids before playing, it's ok. (hum, for the 10 next minute a most !)

That ustream logo in the corner right over the food count is amazing in its placement, it perfectly covers up the food count so I can't copy build orders as easily.

Just something to think of, the GLHF guys view window is slightly smaller than the display window, leaving a black border around it where the logo ends up going.

Should ask them how they do that.

so there's this weird bug: when I upload those videos to blip.tv, they display in 4x3 and the resolution is all screwed up! So, I've been quietly spending the last few days trying to fix this. The quality on the videos is GREAT so I can't wait for them to be on blip.tv so people can download them xD.

Hey Day, the stream has been unwatchable for me since your second round of casting on Friday. Before that, it was fine, the switch to Ustream seemed great. But each cast since then has been unwatchable, the stream cuts out every few seconds, presumably to buffer. It's also worth noting this is also, weirdly, a problem on all the VOD's, though at least there you can just pause it for a while then come back later and watch once the video has downloaded. Some people in the chat have offered tips to stop this on my end and nothing has worked. It just seems like Ustream's bandwidth is choked somehow. I don't know about the other people that are having this issue, but my bandwidth is actually quite good, Ustream and your cast is the only thing giving me problems. But it's the most important thing to watch, so I'm getting annoyed!

So yea: Flat-out can't watch your stream Day. Is there anything that can be looked into here?

Day[9] - You really should consider doing more of that player commentary like you got from Jinro last night. That is awesome stuff for your casts. Especially when you go the route of "What were you thinking here?" and being able to address a specific point in the game from that angle.
