If you bring technology in and its not fixing anything what's point in it. People like me want a fair game not a game that is ruined now by VAR. We used to talk about decisions being wrong and human error, now we talk about how VAR doesn't have the right angle to overturn a decision or after 10 minutes of celebrating a goal we find out someones left toe is offside in this angle and its ruled out. That isn't good for anyone.
It didn't even work in the World Cup as the Colombia vs England game proved when Colombia kicked us off the pitch and nothing was given but it did help in the World Cup and VAR does help but it isn't fixing everything like it was advertised to do and in England they making it even stupider.

Are you blaming pande for the state of english football?

VAR is starting in PL, it is the first season. Give it more time until referee get the gist.
I'm happy with VAR in Spain, it fixed a lot of mistakes last season.

I don't really care much for VAR in its current state, not convinced it makes that much of an improvement to officiating (you can't really measure it) and has some annoying tradeoffs like hesitating before celebrations, the granular offside and handball calls that kinda go against the spirit of the rules... they need rethink that a bit.

Newcastle really limiting Spurs here and defending well, however it only takes Kane one chance! Even so 1-1 is more than amazing for Newcastle.

Ok can someone explain how that is not a penalty. What in the fucking fuck.

This VAR balancing is like a bad patch but with billions of pounds at stake.

It feels like in some preseason meeting they gave the PL refs and VAR room staff different memos. The refs are leaving close calls to the VAR while VAR isn't willing to interfere in anything less than a murder happening on the pitch.

Yeah thats how i see it. VAR refs are like well im going to stick with the refs decision because its close. The onfield ref is like ooo that is close i wont give that i'll let VAR ref help me out......haha so stupid.

Interesting application of VAR. Usually on a call like that, the ref will go and watch the situation on a screen. Here it was like he didn't want to have anything to do with that call.
Good to see that Tottenham are still trash.

Good to see that Tottenham are still trash. They didn't introduce that in the PL, I think because they wanted the decision to either be made in the moment or be wrong enough to overturn outright. You can see it has worked out splendidly
e: i am wrong: https://www.premierleague.com/news/1297393 apparently they can use it but aren't supposed, at least not as much as in other leagues

Not that anyone's going to be interested in my team but check out this goal from Forest against the best team in the league yesterday. Every player touches it in less than a minute from keeper to goal

Yeah we took points off Leeds away as well. I think we're well set up to play against teams that dominate possession, but we aren't as good against counter attacking sides.

Spurs lost at home to Newcastle, which makes up for yesterday's rough loss
