Messi was right to complain about VAR not acting last game while someone gets bashed down in the box somehow while being able to see centimeter offsides. It's unexplainable.
I can understand why he feels this is some sort of retaliation. This is one of those useless red cards like when Ronaldo touched someones hair. They touched but Messi did almost nothing. How should he handle the situation? Run away? Do the dramatic flop and grabbing his head? I can't really see much wrong here.
I'm scared for the womans finals match today, I really really really don't want to get demolished by the US  . I don't rate our defenders much at all, they have good workrate and strength but the US forwards are all really fast, and I don't think they can keep up at all. They also get panicked when they have the ball and are put under pressure from the forwards hunting for interception, and that's what the US excels at.
Our offense is pretty cool but the buildup play to them has been shit, and will be shit when the US puts pressure.Unfortunately Martens is not fully fit. Miedema is lethal though so a bit of luck and we can score. Groenen and Van de Donk are great on the midfield but the US has great options there too.
