Wooop, good final and end for us. Happy Sarri got his trophy after such a long wait to win big and get a big job, he has arrived and i hope he enjoys that big fat cigar he had lol!!
Cech was phenomenal just proves how much he likes Chelsea and London to "retire" after a performance like to become our sporting director.
Eddie confirmed what everyone thought and the announcement will be in a few days before or after the champs league final i am not sure but he said its done and he is out. That does mean however Chelsea got their max value for him which is £100-115million so their is that. However at this point we are still awaiting FIFA's written letter with our violations before we can go to CAS to get it suspended pending their enquiry...so we can't buy anyone! lol

I know europa league is a decent tournament (i still think dropping down from UCL should be a no tbh, leave the europa league to actual tier 2 teams not tier 1.5 teams that didnt make it out of groups) for Chelsea, but i dont see this Chelsea doing anything remarkable like getting far into a UCL or winning a league.
I don't think sarri will be here too long

Hoping we give Ozil the boot honestly. Extremely disappointed in his play all season

Ozil stopped trying 3 years ago not sure why its even a surprise...

Hard to figure out how to fix the club. Kroenke doesn't give a single fuck about us, we're wasting money on these old players that can't do shit and don't care, and Emery is only marginally better than Wenger at his worst. Now we have no money and no incentive for quality players to sign with us. Honestly, I would just get rid of most of the team, sign a bunch of up-and-coming players, and hope that we can somehow luck our way into the top 4.
I'm tired Robbie

So Chelsea had a fantastic season considering what happened in the middle. I think they should try to their best to keep him at the club because its not healthy changing managers every year.

but will they remove all the problem players to do that? who do you think has issues with the manager or vice versa?

Arsenal is a joke of a club. When your EL gk announces he is going to start a new job at the end of this season for the club you are playing against you dont start him wtf. Even if he is a professional his mind is already somewhere else. Leno would have at least profited from the experience of a final. Emery you are a JOKE

Yeah but it definitely is not the fault of Petr. I think (as far as I have seen it yesterday) there are other players that could have played better than him.

Im impressed by the carreer ozil has had overall for being the player he is

I agree with this, the shots that Chelsea had on target were almost definitely not going to be saved by Leno. Maybe he saves one of the three non-penalty goals, but we still would've lost given how nearly everyone of the rest of the team played

Yeah hit the nail on the head, i think we kinda got a free 3rd place even with still playing poorly towards the end imo, but that spell in January > February was awful for us. It is nice that Sarri recognizes this and points to a huge change in attitude from the players during this spell and feels closer to them all himself after it which is nice going forward.
I hope he stays, i think he will 99% sure he does, the board will tell him he has done a good job in the meetings and unless he really wants to go to Juve then he stays. If he does say he wants to go to Juventus then that will be sad as this job in England is still just as big as Juventus but without being the biggest club in said country. Conte at Inter with money to spend should make them pretty competitive alongside this Napoli side with year 2 under Ancelotti. So it might be a shift over there too.

I'm seeing allegations of match fixing (honduras wanting to lose something big), but even then, 9 goals by one player is pretty crazy, even with a useless defense. Haaland definitely has the potential to become a big player. I can picture Norway being a pretty competitive team in 5 years - not spain germany italy france level, but there's a potential golden generation brewing, with kristoffer ajer, martin ødegaard and haaland making a very, very solid future CD-CM-CF trio.
