edit: God dam it. Just after I posted this message the Sky Sports journalist said the exact same thing 'Ball over top let him run'. I feel like a fraud even though I said it first. I guess that's just the obvious joke/comment. | ||

Not sure if we wanted Henderson when we signed him lol. I still have no idea why Chelsea fans thought he had a good game against Arsenal. Partially at fault for first goal with the stupid pass. Plays way too safe, yet you don't even feel safe with him around. | ||

He isn't at world class elite level no he isn't but he isn't exactly as bad and a hiderance as you say. The reason we conceded so many goals and chances to Arsenal on weekend was because Willian and Pedro did not track back at all for 20 minutes. Alonso was left covering 2 Arsenal players are numerous times which is not good at any level in football let alone at the very top. Add in all our defenders time and time again ran into 6 yard box to defend space when they thought a cross was coming in for it to be a cut back and like 3 Arsenal players lining up to take a hit. On the ball Barkley didn't do anything wrong, off the ball the team failed to press for 20 minutes. Barkley will be an important player for us this season and he is already learning so much from Sarri. Don't forget the kid is only 24. | ||

I just don't think he will ever be good enough at this rate to be the 3rd midfielder alongside Jorginho/Kante. I don't think he works hard enough off the ball. Drinkwater is average but at least he presses. Offensively, barkley has not shown me enough. Every time Chelsea gets forward, I hope to see him higher up like how Kante plays now, but he is often not close enough to the box. I think I've seem jorginho play higher more often than him. He is rated as a CAM, but I don't understand why he's not showing it enough in his games. Yes i would say when Kovacic and Cesc are fighting fit it does demote him for sure but he has a very high potential if he can get consistant, Sarri will teach him and i believe! Think the graphic has used the fee in Euros at the time but used the current exchange rate to turn it into pounds. Also transfermarkt aren't totally accurate for transfer fees. But it's still pretty disgusting to see we've spent all that and have practically nothing to show for it. The defense is awful from Yanited they have good enough players in the other areas to be a Mourinho team, just the defense is woeful. This summer Woodward decided to buy 0 of his targets which has caused chaos behind the scenes. Mourinho is annoyed, club legends like Neville is losing his miind at to why Woodward is denying Mourinho transfers. Mourinho has never had a "style" other than to win, by any means. Parking bus or getting 2-0 up and taking best players off to rest them knowing game over etc. Also you can't say the same thing happening at Chelsea is repeating itself because at Chelsea he has won 3 league titles xD | ||
