re-watched a bit of some previous Raptors games from this year while commuting...
Lowry and Van Vleet are better at defending 6'10" guys than Andrea Bargnani.

Minnesota's RAPM pretty much re enforces the eye-tests for their players.. ( for those who actually watch the games )

Since Tyus Jones was given the starting job his RAPM has risen substantially. I'm not surprised... as i said i think he is the best 2nd string PG in the NBA. His game is growing by leaps and bounds. Since Tyus has been starting the Timberwolves have trailed for the sum total of something ridiculous like 10 minutes.

Another sometimes reliable measure is TPA.

Golden State played their superstar starters 37+ minutes last night... Golden State had 3 days rest between games. Golden State barely beat Dallas. Dallas has been good lately.

Yes, Harden gets a lot of free throws
But it is well within the league average of drives/fta ratio
Others have even higher of percentage of foul calls/drives ratio than Harden, consider:
Harden 18%/12.5, LBJ 18%/6, Giannis 22.5%/6, DD 17%/10.5.
And Harden's 3PA is guarded more closely (3PA with defenders within 0-4ft from him) than anyone in the league, consider: Harden 3, PG .2, Curry 1.9, Klay 1.8, Kyrie 2.

Still, he is a bitch when he egregiously flops with minimal or without contact or hooks players arms or rides them.

X-axis is "Total Points Added - On Offense"
Y-Axis is "Total Points Saved - On Defense"

Up means you're adding points on offense.
Right means you're saving points on defense.

Up and right = good.
down and left = bad.

Players furthest away from the intersection of the x-Y Axis in the top right hand corner are doing the most to help their team win. Players in the bottom left are hurting their teams on both offense and defense.

In the graph i provided Jimmy Butler is doing the most to help the team win.
