"I think people have just grown accustomed of what I do and it gets taken for granted at times what I do because I do it so often and it’s been a constant thing for so long, It’s like, ‘Oh, that’s what LeBron’s supposed to do.’ It looks easy, but it’s not." http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-40011790-4 + Show Spoiler + Over the weekend, Channing Frye weighed in with what percentage of peak LeBron James we're seeing so far this season, "Usually LeBron gives you about 60 percent. He’s about 80 percent LeBron and it’s looking effortless so pretty scary." James didn't quite agree with Frye's math. "I’ve never played at 60 in my life. Never. But OK, cool, it sounds good. I like it." James went on to say that if he is at 80 percent currently, it will only improve by the postseason. "I can play better," James said. "But I think right now I’m in a really good groove. But for me every month I get better and better. That’s how I’ve been in my career. I get stronger and stronger as the months go on. I just want to continue that. I want to continue to get better and better every month. This is December, I’m at 80. January I’ll be at 85, I’ll be at 90 in February, I’ll be at 95 in March and then when playoffs start I’ll be at 100 all the way up hopefully until June. Hopefully I can continue that." He also says that perhaps his body of work has caused people to forget how hard it is to do the things he's doing. "I think people have just grown accustomed of what I do and it gets taken for granted at times what I do because I do it so often and it’s been a constant thing for so long," James said. "It’s like, ‘Oh, that’s what LeBron’s supposed to do.’ It looks easy, but it’s not.” EDIT: Here is the mirror post, for reference: ![]()

If Harden remains consistent, he has the "robbed twice" narrative. What would Lebron's be?

it looks like Shabazz Muhammad has lost his spot in the Timberwolves rotation. Thibodeau has zero trust for any one outside of his starting 5. The way Thibodeau is running Minnesota i'll bet you an NBA team could trade a decent bench player in his prime + a 2nd rounder for a 1st round draft pick.

Playing his best basketball in his 15th season at the age of 33 is just as good or better than any narrative out there

Plus, Harden is a way better ball handler and distributor, a more deadly shooter, and a more versatile scorer. And when you add Harden's "robbed twice" narrative, he edges ahead of LBJ.

I'm writing this from memory without checking the records, but I think Kobe has 1 MVP, Duncan also 1 or 2, Shaq has 1 maybe 2, and all those players deserved at least 5 or more MVPs, yet we never heard of players (and fans) complaining about not winning MVPs. Jordan era is too early for me, but I suppose he was the same, he could have won every single MVP but didn't, and no one cared, no one cares. This MVP complain is symptomatic of this whiny soft ticky-tack foul generation. And Lebron even insinuating it is just teenage goth level cringe. Just play the game man, the accolades will follow. Lebron one of the greatest basketball players ever, certified top 5, arguable top 3 GOAT, but all his drama and superteam reputation is why it is difficult for people to root for him. Jordan was a class A asshole, and Kobe was universally hated by teammates and players, and had the stigma of being a rapist attached to him, but they let their games do the talking and they ended up being adored in the late stages of their careers.

Dude could only get 1 year 3 million dollar deal in a year when contracts were crazy. And now he is playing the best basketball of his career in Memphis, possible all star. Its amazing. Evans is legit. I wish he stays healthy and joins a contender team.

I mean in terms of the intensity of complaints or contact? Some part of me says the FIBA/Euro standard of refs-are-the-law and no one complains are nice. But NBA has so much ego that I don't think it will work. The problem often arises when the three refs on the floor have differing standards.
