I cannot say this enough times, you cannot love football and not love Luis Suarez. Ofc you can hate that dumb cunt for all the horrible fouls, biting, pulling hair, putting fingers into opponent eyes or kicking people lying on the ground. I don't know, I have not seen him that dirty play in a season at Barcelona. He doesn't seem so dirty as you going say all the time.
Hes had his moments, hes certainly got a terrible disciplinary record and the things hes done were borderline psychotic (if not just that) but he hasnt done anything at Barca and he is soooo good.

Well Arsenal are out then.

Yup.
So if Bayern beat Arsenal in both matches (which I would be shocked if they didn't), and if I'm doing my math correctly off the top of my head, Arsenal needs the matches between Dinamo Zagrab and Olympiakos to end in either 2 draws or a win and a loss for each team. Any other combination of results ends up with one of those two teams having 7+ points and Arsenal still having zero.
Hell, there are a number of permutations where Arsenal could squeak a point out of Bayern and still be eliminated. It looks pretty fucking awful for them right now.
Chelsea also do not look like a good enough team to make it out of the group stages.Combine that with both Manchester clubs being in very uncertain positions and England is set to be the laughingstock of Europe.

I have no explanation for EPL clubs lol. Let's hope the Manchester clubs get their shit together.

Well.. its already there.
If there wasnt for all the bravado and self proclaimed best league in the world talk going around I think people would be genuinely concerned rather than laugh at them.
Honestly I'd rather see West Ham in the champions league compared to what the top clubs are showing. United are getting results but they dont look like a world beating team, something feels off and City look pretty but they are too dependent on key players being in the game and playing well Kompany a strong example. Their Defense lives and dies with him. Thats not healthy.

Lol for real? Lose 2-1 away in Portugal in the hardest game in the group by a mile, the same the great Bayern struggled to defend against away just 6 months ago. We lose that one game and now Dynamo Kyiv and Macabbi Tel Aviv going to stop Chelsea qualifying? xD ok.

Na they have all the big boys back. Silva returns, Hart Kompany, Yaya is fit. Should be more than fine today.

gladbach won their last matches convincingly. of course on paper gladbach looks way to weak to even bother man city but still... its man city so i wouldnt be too surprised if they did

Pellegrini can lose to anyone in CL

Ye, I wonder about that, too. In this match there is no winner, only two loser (one being less loser-like). Its CL, that's practically No Mans Land for City.

It's annoying enough that we have gladbach and wolfsburg as german representatives in this years champions league, but to have both of them playing on the same day makes it even worse. Today might be the first day in years where I might actually 100% voluntarily skip watching CL.
|
So, about Lewandowski, when was the last time a player scored 10 goals in 3 matches ? That's ridiculous.
|
^ The answer must be Messi tbh.

Give them a break. They played a beautiful season last year and deserve to be in CL. It is just unfortunate how their season started and even more unfortunate is the group they ended up in.
I imagined my Mönchengladbach year differently as well, but I'll still try to enjoy those 6 CL-Matches
It is all Dortmunds fault really, they just sucked so hard last year.

you are correct! Messi had 19 goals over 7 matches in february-march 2012, including 3 in argentina-switzerland, 5 vs leverkusen and 2 vs racing santander, these three matches being played in a row.
Ronaldo just had a 17 match period where there were two matches where he scored 5 goals and 5 other matches where he got a hat trick. But the most he had in any three game stretch was 9.
