I guess if it's just one leg, they count one half as the home game and another half as the away? or something?
Overall seemed deserved to me - I was also really cheering for liverpool. But they fucked up.. Their first half was really, really good, the first half of the second half incredibly bad, and sevilla had enough quality to capitalize. Sucks for liverpool, but the referee did not cause this.
How can you say that the referee didn't decide the game?
You have 2 clear handballs that should have been penaltys all in the first half. The one from Rami isn't a penalty for me but the other two are clear as water...
I don't know how penaltys are given in your countries but if this is not a penalty it's because the referees are not following the rules. The players are using the hands to increase the overall volume of their body, which means that those are clear handballs.
Of course, Sevilla was the better team on the second half, but the game should have been at least 2-0 in the half time. It would be a really different game.
In the last 3 finals for Sevilla they had already 5 penaltys that weren't sanctioned. It's not normal, and statistically improbable.

The first penalty (Firminho sitation) was no handball but simply a foul. Look at his knee But it was really hard to see and very early in the game, so that can happen.
The second penalty (Sturridge situation) was a clear pentaly IMO. Think about if the goal was empty and he deflected a sure goal like this... Red card and penalty for sure! If the ref missed it... well human. If he saw it, he made a bad call.
Other than that, Sevilla played better and deserved to win. Liverpools attacks were a disaster. If Coutinho has a bad day and Firminho doesn't deliever... Honorably mention to Kolo Toure, that tackle vs Gameiro running towards Mignolet

Wait why are Real or Atletico gonna get into pot 1? thought it was 8 league winners? Don't the Eredivisie club get a spot in pot 1?

Pure domination

It is 7 league winners + Champions league winner.

And Eredivisie dropped from 8th to 9th in Uefa ranking. They were 8th last year and got a spot in pot 1 because Barca won league and CL. Ukraine is 8th for this year and will miss out on pot 1.

Sevilla's dominance in the second half was absolute, overall they were the better team. That said they were also lucky with the referee's decisions.

Hype no hype? How much do you guys care about this final? I guess a double Spanish team final should be less attractive for neutral viewers. But there could be some nice drama to make it interesting!
I'm hoping for a win for Atletico obviously, they probably deserve one CL for the last few years while RM hasn't really been impressive and played less games, got a lucky draw throughout the whole playoffs... As a Barça fan, it'd really hurt to see them winning 2 CLs in 3 years when we've been so superior in terms of football produced Come on Griezmann, don't choke!

I want Atleti win champions. They loosed one final in the minute 120 against bayern, and against Real Madrid in the minute 93. Both finals they started winning 1-0 and loosed it in the last minute.
I feel so sorry for "colchoneros" supporters, they are a very good supporters.

I don't care which team wins but since Zidane is my GOAT and my most favourite player I cheer a little for RM.

1974_European_Cup_Final
This one. The match went to extra-time. Atletico scored in the minute 114, but then Bayern tied the match 1-1 in minute 120 (last minute). Then there was a replay 2 days later, but Bayern players were more phisical and they were in better form and won easily 4-0.
I was not born, but Atleti older supporters talk about it quite often in real life and TV. Atleti team was quite good and their better player was Luis Aragonés, and he scored the almost-victory goal. He later was the Spanish national team coach that created tiki taka with Xavi and won Eurocup in 2008.
It was the first European Cup that Bayern won in their history and they won three in a row (74,75, 76).
