The manly contest shoulder against shoulder to get the ball is an important part of the game, same for protecting the ball with your body, but when people use their arms to block or disrupt it just infuriates me.
That annoys the hell out of me too. But it's effective so they're even taught to use their arms. For example, when I'm receiving a long ball and they're behind me they'll always have their hands on my back or even shoulder. Back off, mate!

The idea that Cuneyt Cakir could ever be the right man for any refereeing job baffles me.
The guy is as bad as it gets as an international referee. He just commits errors left and right.

The CL final seat allocation for San Siro is not very fair in my opinion (20k for the fans of each finalist team , 30k for UEFA stuff).
UEFA will not have enough seats for their partners, business, federations and such. I think they should have 60k - 70k. The fans with 1000 seats for each team is enough. More is wasting seats.

The idea that Cakir was a good candidate was not because of his reputation orbelieve that he is an outstanding ref.
It came about because after several refereeing performances in the earlier playoff rounds that ranged from outright match fixing over plain terrible to "well at least he didn't ruin it", Cakir delivered a very solid performance in the 1st leg of the semi finals. Not necessarily brilliant but it just stood out so far above the rest of the murk.
Yes he did eliminate himself when he returned to form in the 2nd leg, but then again after the Tottenham Chelsea game I've not seen anyone understand why Clattenburg is a good choice.

To be fair to the UEFA the sponsors pull out a lot of money and everyone who plays the tournament benefits from that. Still pretty sad for the supporters but I can see why they do it.
