That one match did more harm to the entire planet than climate change. Add that in my new flat the internet is shit and I can barely play 5 minutes without spiking to 300 ping and stuttering for half a minute. That allows me to play lich at best. We were agreeing in the star wars thread anyway and I didn't think it was the best place to further develope our relationship : P Back to the point, do you think Bamford can realistically hope to earn a starting 11 spot in any pl team by summer? gogo leicester.

![]() Wow upgrade the internet fucking Deutsche telecom is poor!!I think he could have done something for Bournemouth etc but might be to late to do something this season, he isn't fresh in anyones mind unlike end of last season when he was joint(?) top scorer of the championship. So im not sure he might have to drop down into championship again. Must be hard when he finally thought he was getting his chance in the premier league so he can show Chelsea but he didn't get a look in

No chance for the title this season, but top 4 is very possible. If Levy backs Pochettino with a striker in January, then I think third place is attainable for Spurs, as Leicester's squad is paper thin. Ultimately, only Arsenal and Man City have the squad depth to win the PL this season.

And yeah, I think that Leicester won't be able to hold until the end, I expect them to explode physically in the next months. I hope not because the storyline is beautiful but I'm very worried. The way they play must be exhausting and they don't have a big bench.

The way they play must be exhausting and they don't have a big bench. I still think Leicester can hold onto 4th place, simply because Man Utd and Liverpool are the only other competitors and neither are playing well. To give a bit more info on Tottenham: Pochettino deserves huge credit for this season. The Tottenham squad had become a complete mess in recent seasons, despite finishing 5th-6th. A number of players seemed to be happy living in London, earning PL-level wages, and getting by on 70% effort. Pochettino became the fourth manager in a little over 24 months, and the atmosphere around the club wasn't good, to say the least. He immediately began a total makeover of the squad, getting rid of ~15 players over two summers and replacing them with young, hungry kids (several from the Spurs youth academy) with 100% commitment to the team. The best example of this is Adebayor (by FAR the highest-paid Spurs player ever) being replaced by Harry Kane and exiled from the squad. With virtually no net spend in the transfer market, Pochettino has assembled the youngest and fittest squad in the league, and next season should be even better. The only worry is that Poch himself might be a target for bigger clubs this summer. The other secret is Hugo Lloris, who is unbelievable but will never get as much credit as Cech/de Gea/Courtois for some reason. Even Jack Butland is more hyped than poor Hugo now. Among Tottenham supporters he is a demigod at this point, with this moment against Watford his latest miracle.

I think you're giving very little to no credit to the absolutely phenomenal work Harry Redknapp and Tim Sherwood (as assistant) did for this club in establishing a solid footing. Also, here are the academy products you speak of that have played 10+ games in the first team: Danny Rose, Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason, Harry Kane, Andros Townsend and Tom Carroll. Only one player from that list has a nailed down spot this season and I think you know who. I'll give u a hint, Tim Sherwood gave him his start and made him into a star (this time as coach). Without 'arry and the money he brought in I'm sure Tottenham would never be diddly squat!

Without 'arry and the money he brought in I'm sure Tottenham would never be diddly squat! Where to start? -Harry Redknapp is a buffoon who has no interest in the long term. He leaves every club in a broken, bankrupt mess, with Tottenham the lone exception because of Daniel Levy. Redknapp didn't give any youth players a chance aside from the EL group stage when he openly admitted he was trying to get knocked out. On top of that, he had very little to do with assembling the squad and building a foundation. Martin Jol did much more for Spurs than HR in that regard. And what money did he bring in, exactly? -Sherwood was a much smaller figure in the development of the youth academy than Inglethorp, McDermott, and Ramsey. The difference is that Sherwood has friends in the press who want you to know how amazing he is. My lasting memory of the Tim Sherwood era is starting at Anfield with a CM pairing of Bentaleb and Gylfi Sigurdsson, and Tim being perplexed at losing 4-0. His solution was to blame the players, as usual. -AVB began integrating Kane into the first team two seasons ago. He also recognized Bentaleb's talent and had him on the bench shortly before being sacked. He gave Townsend a first team opportunity after Redknapp had loaned him out EIGHT times. -Of the players you mentioned, Bentaleb and Mason were Spurs' starting CM pairing last season, and both have been injured for most of this campaign. Rose is Poch's first-choice left back when fit. Townsend was given his chance but it hasn't worked out. Poch is also integrating Onomah, Winks and CCV into the first team now, with more to follow.

All in all, La Liga refs are shit ![]() Benzema call today was shocking and so was the Messi one, however BOTH of those penalties were missed so it wasn't as big anyway.

But ey RM winning through bs pens is La Liga's bread and butter. Actually I posted this, because it's a SHOCKING example of terrible refing and bad understanding of the rules. The same way that people posted the 4 men offside in the Liverpool-Leicester game. My "attack" was at the referee and not Messi or Barca. But hey, an angry response from Barca's fan is always a plus ! ![]()
