Thinking about it... yesterday I thought that ManCity had an okay showing for an away game but looking at their roster, national achievements and bayern's problems... in City's mind this should've been the game that might decide the 1st place. I love Roma and think they have chances but both Bayern and City should be confident against them.
So in retrospective I'm really disappointed by City. Again. CL is not their tournament.
Nievity from the manager imo. How do you beat Pep's side? On paper it's easy you counter them, City's chances last night? Came on the counter when someone won the ball and they broke quick/fast. However Pellegrini played Dzeko upfront who is not the quickest and is a target man. He also had weak runners alongside him (minus Navas). He should of set out imo something like 4-2-3-1 with Yaya and Fernandinho the ball winners, playing it into a 3 of Navas Silva Nasri who then supplied the quick, pacey and sublime finisher that is Aguero.
Instead they just broke and had no idea it seemed. From what highlights i saw. Oh well could be worse you could be a CSKA moscow fan or BATE borisov xD
I only saw extended highlights from the Bayern - City game, but they got absolutely dominated. It wasn't even funny. A result of 3-0 would be a better scoreline taking into account the difference in level.
Anyway, Ajax-PSG was a fun match. First half was dreadfully boring, mostly because Ajax was playing too scared but in the second half they definitely picked it up! Last half hour they were dominating PSG and were very close to winning. The few big chances PSG had were all due to gross mistakes by the Ajax defense but otherwise it was a solid performance. Cillessen was beasting as usual. Zlatan had 3 freekicks on goal or something and he just caught them and held on to them very solidly. Lasse Schöne one of the best freekick takers in Europe. Had 3 tries, one in the wall (where he claimed handball straight away but the ref didn't see it. I'm 100% certain by his reaction that it was a handball, but whatever). Second the goal. Third from 30 meters away on the post. What a phenom.

I don't know why Aguero didn't start, he would have given Bayern's defense a fit.
Mueller and Lewandowski also weren't their usual selves last night, both of them blew multiple easy chances and 1v1s with the goalkeeper.
Edit: Drogba looks wayyyyyyyyyy past it. He had no idea what he was doing last night. He'll still score against Arsenal though.
I knew we were going to win Ofc we have alot of injuries but we have alot of good players to make up for them. It also shows once again that Manchester City is a little overrated.
Didnt think Benatia would make his debut in such an important match but he played quite solid. Bernat also played surprisingly well. But I am so happy for the hero of the evening, Boateng, again! That guy is such a beast and of the one of best CBs in the world. I hope he will eventually get the recognition he deserves.

Yeah Drogba looked like Torres bless him. His excuse in the interview was "i need to play more" lol you wont play more like that. I think Mourinho got it wrong last night, start Remy ffs. He played 15 minutes and had one shot off the line and another decent shot and assist. Oh well, we didn't lose anything as Sporting finished 1-1 too.
Come on guys, why do you all say that Bayern are "so weakened" or have "so big problems".
Yesterday's starters for Bayern were several players who recently won the WC and also the CL one year before. In the center played this guy who won 2 EUROS, 1 WC and the CL with two different clubs. Their striker managed to score 4 goals in one semifinal game against Real Madrid last year (who else will ever do that?). Then they brought Robben off the bench... Robben! Yes, he was injured, but would you have noticed that, if you hadn't known? I wouldn't. Not to mention players like Shaqiri who sat on the bench and weren't even substituted.
