Arsenal and Man Utd both in some amazing form. yeah except he can easily play not to lose (which he will) see how it goes and then adjust tactics based on the flow of the game and keep more than enough points to canter to the title. City are making United look wayyyy better than they really are. If you are going to sit here and tell me that Ashley Young the ultimate one trick poney is going to get touches where he cuts in from the left gets space and launches that same ball over and over again and Chelsea (or really any good team) will let him do that Im sorry.. thats just not going to happen. Same with Fellaini bullying people. Not going to happen against Chelsea or really any decent team + Show Spoiler +to be fair City are a decent team but the run of form is torrid and the second goal pretty much deflated them. Wasnt much of a game after that. Alot of the game is layed between your ears. As for Arsenal.. meh.. maybe they have a good day but they dont have the bottle. Well if those tactics, which allowed us to stroll past spurs, Liverpool and now the current champions city (despite Aguero having his best game in months) apparently don't work against the mighty Chelsea that couldn't even beat a 10 man PSG without Zlatan and scraped a win vs QPR i guess we will painfully have to resort to the untalented likes of Mata, Di Maria and Wayne Rooney. They have been pretty awful since Christmas bar the Swansea game. You want to talk about city making us look good, well Chelsea's position in the table is very flattering of late. Don't get me wrong Chelsea will win the title, but it's on of the worst mourinho teams I think I've ever seen, and without costa or hazard they would look very average. I don't really see your issue with Ashley young, so a winger that consistently beats his man an puts in a cross is somehow a one trick pony? Isn't that what a winger is supposed to do lol. Not to mention his brilliant link up play and the defensive shift hes put in this year has been phenomenal, hes far more than one trick. This "one trick pony" is keeping out one of the best players in the world last year, di maria, out of the team. Must be one fucking good trick. As for afroman, since when did physical players that bully opposition not work against almost any teams? There are teams that literally live and breathe this style like stoke. Year after year mid table teams have taken points of the champions by playing long ball physical game, to say it doesn't work against "good team" is just nonsense. And what teams are "good"? it seems like you basically just mean Chelsea. I disagree that its one of the worst Mou teams ever. Yes I do basically just mean Chelsea. Frankly the higher tier of English football is pretty loose and jaded this year. Teams have been so disorganized and been taken by the occasion so often. So much kick and rush among top teams and no one trying to control the tempo of the game in possession or trying to ride out a bad period by slowing it down. Because playing it down the flank and using afroman for knockdowns is so much simpler. Look if you feel like this way of playing gets you places and is impressive. Thats great, good for you. But my belief is it wont get you very far in Europe, not often anyway. Besides I didnt say United was playing poorly or anything so I dont get whats so upsetting. The Liverpool, Villa and City games are the first time Ive seen United play good football all year. Like impressive football. And Ashley Young has looked like the best player alot of the time. But lets be honest. Its Ashley Young and hes going to start pissing himself at some point. Quote me on it. Its not even like he has quality on either foot. He needs to cut and if teams are letting him cut to put good balls in thats pretty sad for said team. Again if you think that way of playing gets you places great. Still if you think Man City were not god awful and mentally shot after the second went in then your in some weird denial space and getting horny about a team thats not as good as you think it is. Even Liverpool since the turn of the year had their run and looked like a killer team. They are not. Form ebbs and flows and this is clearly United on a high. But playing out of your skin for a few weeks doesnt make you a good team. Look at the season on a whole thats what tells you where you are.
Well the long ball to Fellaini and cross till something goes your way tactic only lasted so long. I figured it might last a while.
Just going to leave this out there since its blasphemy to criticise United when they are winning so I guess it might be ok if they arent? Maybe thats wishful thinking. Oh well.

I remember the line up being the same for the past few months so I guess it wasn't really the players being out of position? Actually I think missing Carrick really hurts the team more than anyone expects. Oh well I really hope they can crank out 2 more wins.

Chelsea is by far the best team of a league that its in rough spots (not in the fun department, its still the most entertaining).
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King...
I do agree that English teams are in a transition, Arsenal FINALLY getting good players and keeping them, United dissipating the ghosts of Moyes and City with a DT thats its 100% out...
Well except Chelsea who is a full fledge team, but i still believe that this Chelsea team has no meanings to take something away of the real UCL contenders...
Hopefully English teams can make a comeback, especially considering that 1 more bad UCL/UEL means that Germany or Italy might take away 1 of their spots.

Several Chelsea players offside when the keeper comes to claim it have got to be "active". Obviously Speroni made a right mess of it, but that has to be counted as offside, right?

Since the gfy starts right there and isn't pausable I can't tell.
Also there appears to be a mad finish in League 1 and I can't find a stream...

Terry and Ivanovic are offside for me, and possible Matic as well. Odd situation.
Penalty! Tough to see whether it's correctly called. Definite contact, but easy tumble.
PENALTY SAVED, but Hazard heads in the rebound!

ROFL that penalty

Yeah because one dodgy decision in favour erases all the disgusting decisions against...
Without the replays it looked like a penalty.
Hazard almost botchered that one.

i was actually messaging my friends and said "Gerrard and RVP both missed pens, does that mean Hazard is gonna miss?"
Almost killed myself there.

I think the deflection makes it hard for the referee to see if the ball goes off Terry's arm, but it should have certainly been a peno.

Didn't see the Terry handball so Im not going to comment on it...I was just responding to the quoted poster. Further, after more replays Im leaning to a good call from the ref on the Hazard penalty. Again, the point still stands, a hand ball from Terry not called does not erase the entire season before that point.
But as a neutral observer Im not going to get drawn into this discussion...this is what plagues Portuguese football for instance, and I would hate to see the PL go this route as well.

Watching 1-2 PL games per week I think generally refs are plain bad rather than biased/corrupted, most matches has plenty of bad calls for both sides.
