Southampton are close to agreeing deal with Atletico Madrid for defender Toby Alderweireld. AC Milan have now confirmed the signing of Marco van Ginkel from Chelsea. Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo could be set for a Deadline Day return to his homeland with La Liga side Valencia, according to reports in Spain. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says the club have completed most of their transfer business but admits there may be one more to come in. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was remaining coy on his side's interest in Loic Remy prior to the striker's move to Chelsea, but admits Arsenal remain active in the transfer market as we draw ever closer to Monday's deadline. Fulham striker Kostas Mitroglou, 26, has returned to Olympiakos on loan for the rest of the season. Sky sources understand Southampton have made an £11.8million bid for Salzburg midfielder Sadio Mane, 22. Inter Milan attacking midfielder Ricky Alvarez, 26, is closing in on a move to Sunderland after arriving at the club's training ground to finalise his switch. Hertha Berlin have signed former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou, 29, on a three-year contract, the Bundesliga club have announced. Queens Park Rangers are understood to have made an approach to Tottenham Hotspur for Sandro, although there has been no official bid yet. Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is weighing up a loan move for Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel. Brendan Rodgers wants to offer legendary former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a way back into the game

Good things about this year Barça: - Rakitic is really awesome. Best transfer in a long time. He can be a good replacement for Xavi. - Messi and all the team is very motivated. They run more and they press more. - The "Cantera". For a Barça fan it is great to see players like Munir, Rafinha or Sandro playing and scoring in Liga. Tito and Tata didn't use the Cantera at all. So this is like the old days of Guardiola. Both Guardiola and Luis Enrique were before "Barcelona B" coaches and they know well the players. - The forwards will be awesome, more when Suarez can play ;P - The coach has more character than Tata, He maybe can control the players all the season. Some bad things; - Pedro. He is terrible now. We should have kept Alexis, he is better. - The defense. I'm not sure is the team will defend well against good teams. They defend better than last year, and Villareal is a decent team (Europe League Team, they attack very well and are strong in his stadium) but they had a lot of chances . I'm not sure about players like Mathieu, Pique (Vermalen will be injured all the year xD) against big teams. I'm not very confident in Alves defending... PD: lol the Real Madrid from 0-2 to 4-2. Another fun game today.

If he was this good at 17, he'd still be in the running for biggest norwegian talent ever. (I'd argue behind Per Ciljan Skjelbred though ![]() It's hard to evaluate how good he's going to get though, but if he has like a regular progression in skill from 15 to 19 then he's gonna be good enough for mostly any team from that age, but you never know what happens if he gets injured or whatever. hmm, i've analysed his play a bit more. i think once his physique grows and he's more durable i think he'll be ready for the big european leagues - but at the moment I think due to his age he's too frail to be going there. a couple of years staying in norway would be best for him. also i just realised i triple post in this thread, sorry -_-

Transfer Deadline Day! To Go Reports in Portugal say that Benfica have made an offer of around €10million and that the Costa Rica international is keen to head out so that he can play more regularly. Chelsea’s form so far this season suggests that they don’t need any reinforcements, but there is still some uncertainty over Petr Cech’s future and there is understood to be interest from Paris Saint-Germain. Could Arsenal make a late swoop for French midfielder Adrien Rabiot? The highly-rated youngster is being chased by a couple of clubs and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has revealed to Canal+ that he is set to move Alvaro Negredo is expected to leave Manchester City for Valencia and that could free up the possibility of a deal for Radamel Falcao, as Fraser Dainton tells Sky Sports News about the rumour of a private jet getting ready to bring the Colombian to England. Liverpool have done plenty of business already this summer but they are understood to be pursuing goalkeeper Victor Valdes. There is no rush to push through a deal, though, as he is a free agent after leaving Barcelona, and our man Vinny O'Connor says he may not even come in until October. Hull City have recently been linked with a move for Christian Fuchs, but Schalke's general manager Horst Heldt insists the Austrian left-back won't be moving today. Inter Milan are still interested in signing Ezequiel Lavezzi from Paris Saint-Germain, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. However, their priority is reportedly to offload Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin, who has been a target for Valencia and Galatasaray. David Craig is reporting from Newcastle and has an update on the Hatem Ben Arfa situation, saying that a number of other clubs are interested in the French playmaker Juventus appear to be out of the race to sign Radamel Falcao, judging by reports in Italy. Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Monaco accepted an offer to loan Falcao to Juventus, but the Italian champions declined an obligation to sign the Colombian striker permanently next summer

That's for Joel Campbell I'm guessing. This transfer season has been terribly frustrating for Benfica as we've declared interest in dozens of players who have refused a move to Portugal. Now that it seems that a player is interested in coming, Wenger doesn't want to let him go. Bottom-half teams in the Premier League nowadays have more clout in the transfer market than Benfica. ![]() On September 01 2014 17:51 danzii wrote: Why does it seem like Monaco wants to get rid of Falcao so badly? That's a good question. Monaco seems to be divesting. Their squad without Falcao looks banal. Did they find out now that they have to abide by FFP too or is Rybolovlev losing interest (according to wiki he had to pay $4.5 Bn to his ex-wife ... dayyyum).

I think Thiago is more mature and better player than his brother right now, although he is 2 years older. The problem with Thiago is that he is to prone to injures, so he can't show his talent too much. About Rafinha, He was last year the best player in "Celta de Vigo". But playing Barcelona is harder, and He has to work a lot and play better that the last two liga matches. I think He has a lot of potential.
