This doesn't work like it does in soccer because there is no team pride in basketball on the level of national pride soccer teams. While in soccer you will see the stars and find pride, in basketball I imagine players, like Nash, will look at it and just be pissed that he hasn't won one. - Similar to the above issue, players who HAVE won championships and switched teams, no longer get the tab. Now we have a situation where Greg Oden has a championship tab while Lebron James doesn't. - More than half the teams in the league have won a championship. When the majority of teams have the same gold little tab, it loses any novelty or impact. - Is a knife in the stomach to small market teams who probably won't be winning for a while, like Charlotte. And there were lols everywhere! Skip Bayless bait, but otherwise a non-issue.

He turned down 5/44 from Indiana too.
Kemba / Gary Neal Lance / CDR? / PJ Hairston? MKG / Gerald Henderson / Marvin Williams? Cody Zeller? Vonleh? They could use Boozer, even though Big Al/Boozer sounds horrible on defense. Big Al / Bismack Biyombo Love this team. I get to be a Hornets fan again. :D
Now I just need to find my Larry Johnson jersey.

Why couldn't the Lakers do something like this...unbelievable. Their front-office made some nice moves using their money as an asset (e.g. Lin trade, 1.8M to buy Clarkson pick) but otherwise they have showed no real creativity/imagination. I am disappointed...
Hornets will be fun to watch for sure though.

You aren't excited about Swaggy?

theres lin, swaggy, kobe and 1 basketball feel like ive seen this before

Swaggy signing isn't too bad I guess. Could be a 6th man on an okay team and his contract isn't too costly even if it is for 4 years. But they lock him up for his prime and is easily trade-able with that deal.

i'd bet my left nut lance didn't write this lol

Because? That's pretty standard athlete speak these days. Lance certainly knows how to play the media 'game' at this point. Or are we implying that he's got to be an inarticulate jock?
|
Lance should feel awful for what he's done to his own earning power.
Good passing instincts for a 2 guard, strong defender, good rebounder. How is he getting $9 a year on, basically, a two-year deal and Chandler Parsons gets $15?

example of a pr guy tweet + Show Spoiler +
example of real lance tweet + Show Spoiler +
not saying the guy can't put together a sentence but if you go through his twitter its obvious that it's not the same person behind it always

Lebron going back to Cleveland... What?! I'm so surprised by how accepting Cleveland fans are being right now. I thought they hated this guy with a burning passion.

they probably still kept the ashes of those burn jerseys and are now begging for forgiveness

As a Bulls fan, I didn't blame him for leaving Cleveland. I didn't blame him for The Decision. I was kind of salty that he wnet to Miami with D-Wade, which essentially consolidated Eastern Conference power. I was really confused, and slightly disgusted by the bizarre pep rally. I enjoyed the Mavs beating the Heat, but half that was because Dirk deserved his chip (particularly against Wade who was gifted his win against Dirk). I was happy for Lebron when he finally won his first chip and never really rooted against Lebron after that, instead Miami fans (Dan Lebatard) became insufferable and self-congratulating. I disliked how they and the national media pretended it was a historically good team, etc.
Now Lebron has left the cesspool of Pat Riley and D-Wade, and seems to have implied that he realized they were snake-oil salesmen. However, I worry for him, because I fear that Cleveland's ownership is about as incompetent as the Indianapolis Colts (1 Championship in 16 years despite having Manning or Luck as their QB).

Just hope the cavs shape up pretty well next season, should be fun to watch :D yay lebron, didn't think he should've stayed either tbh and they had a good run in miami anyway ^^

I don't see where the issue is. Lin and Kobe are admittedly ball-dominant players, but Young can easily play off the ball as he's done before and will likely be used more as a 6th man anyway.
