first, i hate to break this to you, but cheating exists in Starcraft2.

its a reality of every luge and bobsleigh event. and its a reality that every one tries to get an edge on the exact track conditions from everything from LUGE to NASCAR... in every race ever invented.

onto the specific topic at hand.
http://globalnews.ca/news/1150393/track-conditions-may-have-cost-canadians-olympic-luge-medal-coach-says/

the reality of every luge and bobsleigh event.
"The Star reported that he thinks the track warming may have been deliberate. The track is equipped with a cooling system, and Staudinger suggested that the cooling may have been turned down later in the race, changing the ice conditions."

this of course works in both directions. you can also insure the track conditions are perfect for your home team riders and crap for other teams. stories of vancouver manipulation were just as prevelant in 2010 as they are now.

As far as manipulating track conditions to get an advantage in qualifying at NASCAR i'd like to quote the great Richard Petty
" if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin' "

onto your "conspiracies don't exist because they are conspiracies".

9/11 was a conspiracy amongst many people.
unless u can somehow explain how 3 towers fell , a hole was put in the pentagon and a giant crater appeared in pennsylvania and it was all caused by 1 guy who talked to no one. so 9/11 had to be a conspiracy of some kind.

if you think the Canadians who ran the Van-City olympics were 100% boy-scout honest and always did everything for "the good of the sport" and "the ultimate in fair play" you are living in the same dream world that contains the tooth fairy and santa claus.

if ur point is that "conspiracies don't happen in canada".

i could talk about Liberal Adscam, Paul Bernardo/Homolka and how the cops fucked up the DNA test, the 20+ year MLG Child Abuse Ring... i got lots of proven made in canada conspiracies that are 4854897 times worse than screwing with the temperature on a luge track.

the MLG Child Abuse Ring makes Penn State look like amateur hour.

conspiracies exist in canada. just ask the child abuse victims of the maple leaf gardens horror show... unless you'd now like to blame the victims.

back to the specific topic at hand.

http://www2.macleans.ca/2010/02/12/death-on-luge-track-leads-to-questions-about-course-canadian-competitiveness/

“People have the argument that it’s just home advantage and that’s normal for an Olympic host country, but it’s different for sports involving high speed. Can you imagine in Formula One nobody being allowed on a track because somebody has home advantage?”

what is really sad is.. this caused someone to die.

tell ya, this just makes me wanna sing the canadian national anthem!

I think this proves my point.

I would have bolded the 9/11 conspiracy parts if I wanted to prove lamprey1 is a troll personally.

Canada would've simply upped their funding for their winter sports programs in order to put on a good show in their home games, similar to what Australia did in 2000 and Great Britain did in 2012 for the summer Olympics.

And South Korea is already doing it for their programs. More Koreans qualified for this Olympics then ever before.

lol,
more whining from Canada.

http://www.thestar.com/sports/sochi2014/skiing/2014/02/22/canada_appealing_mens_skicross_allege_french_skiers_pants_were_altered.html

"The Canadian Olympic Committee, along with the Slovenian Olympic Committee, are alleging that French team staffers changed the shaping of the athletes’ ski pants for better aerodynamics."

Canada has to realize that for every Ben Johnson and Marion Jones that gets caught...
there are 10 that get away with it and never get caught.... their names are in the record books forever and they are total frauds.

the French contingent should bring in Ryan Braun or Marion Jones to issue the denial of any wrong doing.

don't smear the issue to dodge what canadian officials did.

"Canadian officials had restricted practice for foreign teams to the bare minimum required under international standards, ostensibly to allow the Canadians a hometown advantage."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/winter-olympics/7273518/Winter-Olympics-2010-officials-accused-of-being-forewarned-of-potential-luge-danger.html

pretty sad stuff guy.
and then a guy dies mainly because he was offered very limited access to a very dangerous track/

unless 9/11 was done by 1 guy who commmunicated with no one... it was a conspiracy.
you probably don't know what the word conspiracy means.

fuckin' sad and pathetic is what it is.
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/olympics/a-swift-luge-plunge-into-frozen-sorrow/article16653015/?page=all

but hey man.. the host country has to win extra medals... so lets set it up so they do!

and we gotta have the glory of breaking world records so lets make the luge track suicide level dangerous to achieve super human speeds never before attained...

in any event, i've clearly demonstrated that Canada went to any means necessary.. fair and unfair to attain as much home field advantage as possible in 2010... including obtaining a concession from the IIHF for smaller NHL sized rinks in hockey which Canadians are more accustomed to.

without these numerous advantage canada does not win 14 Gold.

Canada has never come close to 14 gold in the past... and never will again, unless they host another Olympics and stack the deck in their favour again.

Big congratulations to Russia, beastmode x3 at the end of the race. The only person I think could break up the Russian trio would be Dario, but he broke his ski just before the last deciding hill, but oh well. That last gold also ensured Russia as the best nation, followed by Norway and Canada

A few more breaks go our way and we are actually pretty close to 14 Golds this year actually.
Y'know sometimes people ask me y'know like "What's your religion and stuff?" And I'm like "y' know it's like RTS." Uh, and they're like, "What's that?" And I'm like, "Y'know it's kinda like, kinda like Buddism."

every break went Canada's way to get to 10 Golds!
Congratz to the Curlers and Hockey players!

Congratz to Russia for winning the most medals and most gold.

What an amazing incredible unbelievable coincidence... the host country wins the most gold again!

Russia deserved most of them and put on a great show for the world.

These Olympics had to be a bitter disappointment for the countries highest profile hockey player, Alex Ovechkin, but sweet success for almost all non-hockey Russian athletes.

10 Silvers I think a few more breaks go or way and we could have beaten 14.

Chan had a shot at gold
Team Canada in figure skating could have gotten a gold if they over preformed or the Russians made mistakes.
Denny Morrison could have got a gold.
Charles Hamlin under performed in his best events.
So did the Women's side and Marianne St-Gelais.
Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir had an outside chance at gold (some say they were robbed, I think the scores should have been tighter but agree with the outcome)

We had many opportunities to reach or exceed 14 Gold Medals.
