I don't think it's a coincidence that he's done the best at the beginning of the season (and also before the injuries started to pile up), and whenever he's come back from a layoff, whether due to injury or rotation. I think he gets a lot of unfair treatment too. A lot of the games where he did "poorly, " he was always very isolated and didn't have anyone else willing to get forward with him. He'd have to hold the ball up near the center circle while getting battered and bruised constantly (look on whoscored.com; he's one of the most fouled players in the league), and had to fight 4+ defenders at once when crosses came in. What do people expect? He's only human. And just one human at that. :D if it's true. | ||
