Plantronics GameCom Hosts Holiday Dota™ 2 Tournament
Plantronics GameCom is pleased to announce the upcoming free-to-enter 5 vs. 5 GameCom Dota 2 Holiday Tournament. Registration officially opens Thursday, December 20th and closes Saturday, January 5th at 8:00 PM CST. The event will begin Monday, January 7th and will end with the grand finals on or around January 23rd. The finals bracket will be officially cast live via Twitch.tv by Kevin Godec from Purge Gaming! Information on the live finals stream will be available as the finals approach.
Remember. this event features over $5,500 in total event prizing including the opportunity for any open bracket team captain to win a Plantronics GameCom Commander headset or any open bracket team to win a full set of five (5) GameCom 780 Dolby® 7.1 surround sound headsets. The following information pertains directly to the DoTA 2 Holiday Tournament. Note that registration is open now, so be sure to get signed up in order to participate in the event!
- Registration Period: Thursday, December 20th - Saturday, January 5th @ 8:00 PM CST
- Competition Dates: Monday, January 7th - January 20th, 2013
- Finals: On or around January 23rd, 2013
- Format: Single Elimination (Bo3) down to Top 8 Double Elimination (Bo3)
Prizes:
- 1st Place - $2,000 in prizing
- 2nd Place - $1,000 in prizing
- 3rd Place - $500 in prizing
- 4th Place - 5 x Dota 2 branded GameCom 780 Dolby® 7.1 surround sound headsets
- Additional Open Bracket Prizing: 5 x Dota 2 branded GameCom 780 Dolby® 7.1 surround sound headsets + 3 x Dota 2 GameCom Commander headsets
