Plantronics GameCom Face-Off is excited to introduce GameCom Face-Off, a series of winner take-all, community voted show matches for $500 cash and streamed live on Twitch.TV.
The first Face-Off event, featuring StarCraft 2, will showcase five of the most well-known and fierce SC2 competitors from around the world. The community has the opportunity to vote which of these four players will take on EG's iNcontroL in a single best-of-three map series:
Voting has officially been extended one additional week and will be open through Monday, June 18 at 8 pm EDT. Once selected, the two players will battle it out in a live match, shoutcasted by HDStarcraft.
All community voters will automatically be entered into a drawing to receive a pair of GameCom 780 headsets.
Cast your vote on the GameCom Facbook page and stay tuned for the match's broadcast information!

Sounds pretty cool, why only a best of 3 for the show match though? Why not have it be a best of 5??

no offense but including white-ra in this poll is silly... there's no way any of the other players can possibly compete. you're basically including a world famous pro player with 3 amateur NA players.
why not just announce a white-ra vs incontrol showmatch

I think you are a little harsh calling KawaiiRice an amateur player That being said i agree that this is most likely going to be iNcontroL vs. White-Ra, but rather because of his special tactics and the fact that he is awesome, rather than the fact that he is the better player

pretty much... And some people are taking xeris's comment the wrong way..... Regardless of skill or any other argument white-ra's popularity alone will win this poll...

yeah i agree with this. Personally, I would love to see either Kawaii or Ver play against Incontrol in a showmatch.

White-ra is a good player and a great guy, but is probably the most overrated when it comes to skill level. I'm hoping Hawk takes it, glhfgg guys !

I say as a community, we put together $100 and have a lesser show match with the ppl who got 2nd and 3rd in the polls! So we can spread around the love a little more, after all, more games of Starcraft 2 can never be a bad thing. Who's with me? I'll put up $5, if you guys want to actually do it :D

As a side note, why the hell this "cast your vote" is so tied up into "facbook", not many ppl in their right mind use "facbook" :S
I would vote for White-Ra (since he is my all time favorite sc2 player), but this system prevents me in doing that. (also i think there's a quite good rant around the web about why using and relying on facebook for promotions is quite a bad idea)

We know you've been waiting for it and finally it is here. Ver from Check-Six Gaming and Geoff Robinson (iNcontroL) will be facing off for $500 and the title of Face-Off champion. The stream will start tomorrow night (7/19) at 9pm EDT / 8pm CDT and casted by HDstarcraft. You can view it on our TwitchTV channel (www.twitch.tv/plantronics_gamecom) or in the Face-Off Facebook app.
