The revamped Global Starleagues GSL and GSTL have arrived
We have received a tremendous amount of constructive feedback over the past months and are very thankful for that. Especially our Team League, the GSTL, has had a very positive response from the fans that went beyond our expectations. We have therefore decided to change our format to make the GSL and GSTL even more exciting for the fans and also more competitive yet fair for the players.
Starcraft II five days+ a week - you will now be able to enjoy GSL and GSTL at the same time!
1 day of Code A, 2 days of Code S and 2 days of GSTL. How cool is that? And the best thing is, we’re already starting this week! Let’s take a look at the new GSL and GSTL:
GSTL 4. This changes everything. Again.
The all new GSTL – Season 1 starting June 23rd 2011
GSTL stands for Global Starcraft II Teamleague. Our goal for the GSTL is to provide a teamleague with the best players on the best teams in the world. We are very happy to welcome FXOpen e-Sports as the first non-Korean team in the upcoming GSTL Season 1. Additionally, the Teamliquid Starleague 3 finalists and top MLG Columbus finishers Thorzain and Naniwa and top Terran player Fenix will be joining forces with team WeMadeFOX to form team F.United and participate in the upcoming GSTL.
The three GSTLs we’ve had so far have produced many memorable games. There was only one downside, the tournaments were just too short! We listened to the fans’ demands and have completely revamped the format for the upcoming GSTL. Instead of 8 teams and a 4 day tournament, we will now have a full-fledged league over 3 months with a group stage, play-offs and 12 participating teams. We are all looking forward to seeing this league played out and are hoping for just as epic matches as in our previous GSTLs.
+ Show Spoiler [GSTL Format] +The Format- GSTL will be broadcasted twice a week on Thursday and Friday
- 12 teams will be participating. The league will be divided into two groups
- Groups that play on Thursdays will be in the Jupiter league and groups that play on Fridays will be in the Venus league. *In Korea, Thursday is called the day of Jupiter and Friday is called the day of Venus.
- The Jupiter League includes: SlayerS, TSL, oGs, MVP, PRIME, F.United
- The Venus League includes: IM, StarTale, fOu, Zenex, NS, FXOpen e-Sports
- Each team will play every team of its group once, this process will take 10 weeks.
- This group stage will be called the “Pennant Race”
- Once the Pennant Race is over, the top 3 teams from each group will advance to the Play-offs
- Ranking will be decided using the following factors in order: Number of Wins -> Number of Set Losses -> If two teams have same number of wins and set losses, the winner of the two from the pennant race match will receive a higher ranking -> Number of Warnings Received
- The Pennant Race will be best Bo7, Play-offs and finals Bo9. “King of the hill”-type format.
- The Play-offs will be played out as follows:
The Prizes* - 1st: 30,000,000KRW (~20,000EUR, 28,000USD)
- 2nd: 15,000,000KRW (~10,000EUR, 14,000USD)
- Coach award: 5,000,000KRW (~3,200EUR, 4,500USD)
*Prize money distribution not confirmed yet, will be updated accordingly. Approximate EUR and USD amounts according to Google on 2011/06/15Schedule

GSL - Game of Thrones. Summer is Coming.
The revamped GSL – starting June 27th 2011
With all these changes made to the GSTL and our excitement for the Team League to kick off, it may seem like we have forgotten about our individual league, the GSL. The truth is, of course, far from that! The GSL remains our premium league, striving to be the ultimate proving ground for the best Starcraft II players the world has to offer. Through our league exchange program with MLG we hope to give more non-Korean players the opportunity to showcase their skills. We have been analyzing the feedback for our past GSL seasons and tweaked the format a little to make it fairer for the competitors. Find out in the spoiler how it works in detail.
+ Show Spoiler [GSL Players and Groups] +
+ Show Spoiler [GSL Format] +The GSL is divided into two leagues, Code S and Code A. They can be thought of as a major and minor league. The best of the best are competing in Code S for the title of GSL champion. In order to reach Code S, players have to go through Code A and then face the lowest Code S finishers in relegation matches, called the Up & Down matches, to determine who will get promoted and demoted. Code S- 32 players are participating
- Players are divided into 8 groups of 4 players
- The groups will be played out in a ‘Dual Tournament’ format, a system that Starcraft 1 fans will be familiar with
- The 4 players of each group are split into two pairs and play each other.
- The winners of these matches will then face each other in the ‘Winner’s match’. The victor advances to the playoffs (Round of 16)
- The losers of the initial matches face each other in the ‘Loser’s match’. The loser will be out and will have to go through the Up&Down matches after the tournament, to determine if he can stay in Code S.
- The loser of the Winner’s match and the winner of the Loser’s match will face each other. The winner advances to the playoffs. The loser is out but stays in Code S.
- After the group stage is over, 16 players remain. Players who finished first in their group will be paired against players who finished second in a different group.
- The rest of Code S is played out in a regular single elimination tournament mode
- Ro16 is Best of 3. Ro8 and Semifinals are Best of 5. Finals are Best of 7.
- 1st: 50,000,000KRW (~32,000EUR, 46,000USD)
- 2nd: 20,000,000KRW (~13,000EUR, 18,500USD)
- Ro4: 5,000,000KRW (~3,200EUR, 4,500USD)
- Ro8: 3,000,000KRW (~1,900EUR, 2,800USD)
- Ro16: 2,000,000KRW (~1,300EUR, 1,850USD)
- Ro32: 1,500,000KRW (~1,000EUR, 1,400USD)
Code A- 32 players are participating
- These players consist of: Top16 finishers of the previous Code A Tournament, players who got demoted from Code S, players who qualified through the preliminaries and players who have received direct seeds through the MLG league exchange or other events.
- Code A is played out in single elimination tournament mode
- The losers in the Ro32 will lose their Code A status
- Ro32 – Ro8 are Best of 3. Ro4 is Best of 5, Finals are Best of 7.
- 1st: 1,500,000KRW (~1,000EUR, 1,400USD)
- 2nd: 1,000,000KRW (~650EUR, 930USD)
- Ro4: 800,000KRW (~510EUR, 740USD)
- Ro8: 600,000KRW (~380EUR, 550USD)
- Ro16: 400,000KRW (~255EUR, 370USD)
- Ro32: 200,000KRW (~130EUR, 185USD)
Up&Down Matches- Code A Winner will automatically advance to Code S without going through Up & Down Match
- MLG Winner will receive a GSL Code S seed for the following month. (Even if the winner is a Korean player, the seed will be provided). If the winner turns down the Code S seed or is already a Code S player then the runner-up will be given the seed.
- Code S 4th Place Players (8) + Code A Top 7 = 15 players
- Players will be divided into 3 groups of 5.
- One group per day will be broadcasted. Each group’s 1st and 2nd Place will advance to Code S.
ScheduleNote: In the first week, from June 27 to July 1, Code A will be broadcasted every day at 04:10 GMT (+00:00). On the first day, June 27, Code A will also be broadcasted at 09:10 GMT (+00:00). Code A Ro32 and Ro16 will be finished in the first week. Every match will be broadcasted live.
Watch GSL July on GOMTV.net! Period: June 27 – July 30, Schedule here Standard quality live stream and VOD of first set of each match: free Season ticket (ad supported): 9.99USD Season ticket (without ads): 19.99USD Buy the tickets in our Premium Zone for GSL July!

Nice, finally a proper team league for SC2.
|
|
Super excited for this was about to buy ticket then I saw $25 what happened?. last time I bought ticket it was $10 no way I can afford that. + Show Spoiler +
Oh well live report threads only I guess, still looks like it will be great.
|
I'm not sure I get it. Thorzain and Naniwa will be participating in this GSTL season but will not join Code A until the next one?
|
Awesome can't wait for the team league. FXO FIGHTING!!!!

GSTL season goes for roughly 12 weeks (a bit longer because of scheduling with GSL Finals). In this time there are 3 Individual GSLs which last 5 weeks. So Thorzain and naniwa will be coming for the 2nd of the 3 GSLs, being GSL August.
|
|
I'm excited for this Team league, I can't wait! Looks like it's going to be the best yet!~
|
Leenock is back in CODE A!
|
So how much of Code A is being broadcast? How much of the Ro32 and how much (if any?) of the Ro16?
|
|
this is sick really happy that gom is buyin advertisement this is good hehe btw people complaining about the 25$ its gonna last 3 freaking months shut the :D and buy it already
|
The Team League is tempting me into buying an HD pass... hurm.
|

I wasn't complaining I was just surprised considering the last time I bought a ticket it was $10, and I don't have the money to buy it regardless of it being 3 months, what I don't understand (and could be made clearer by gomtv) is whether buying the gstl ticket also gives access to the code a / s vods or if you have to buy another ticket for that as well.
|
can anybody enlighten me what the forfeit with rain is about?
|
Sheth in Code A!!! Wordddd!!!! Gogogogo Manner Zerg!!! :D
|
Let me see if I get this right The players dont play round robin, right? If the player wins, he keeps playing, and the oponent team chooses another player to play against the winner. Is that right? Because I really hoped they adopted the ProLeague format. Much better, you get to see more of the players, and it builds much more tension because one player cant simply carry his team.
|
Very interesting, love to hear this kind of scheduling and events! So excited!
|
GSTL used to be priced at 4.99USD (with ads) for a 4 day tournament. With our new GSTL you’ll get 25 full playdays for only 24.99USD (with ads).
This makes the new league more expensive than previous ones believe it or not.
Other than that I am really looking forward to it!
|
Awesome news altogether. Just to echo something many have said before, it would be awesome to get some kind of package offers for GSL / GSTL. I'd instantly buy a ticket that combined this GSTL season and the three next GSL seasons into one for a slightly lower price than all of them separately, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
|
Wait... the entire code A ro32 will take place on a single day? This is madness! :o Overstacking the schedule with so many tournaments, the GSL sure is eager to hand out money. :D
|
can someone please explan to me if we will get to see VOD's of the games that are not live streamed ?
I mean if I look at the schedule on 27/6/11 is Code A RO32 and the next week is Code A RO8 will we still get to see VOD's of the other games if we buy the ticket ?
|

Yup, you're not alone for sure, i was buying gsl+gstl tickets since season 1, and it would be nice to get this 2 leagues in 1 gomtv package for lower price for those who want it all. Thx again GomTV for entertainment you bring to us!
|
The one odd thing I'm noticing is [url=http://www.gomtv.net/2011super1/news/65543]the schedule[url] is less than ideal in some ways. In the future it would seem to make more sense to alternate week on which groups have 2 games, instead of doing all 1 group's extra games first and then all the others.
|
A Starcraft 2 ProLeague ? I guess that means I have to pay again :D
Thank you, I am sure this is going to be absolutely awesome. Will there be a SKT KT rivalry ? Who is ACE ? Are there going to be teams who lack z p or t lineups so that we can mock them ? I certainly wish so ! Combined with the Fantasy GSTL, I can only hope that PL and GSTL never broadcast at the same time
|
This is fantastic. The schedule graphic is soooo useful, and it's great to have all the formatting information right here.
Some may not be a fan of the pricing, but remember, they're still offering a completely free live stream, and the amount of content you're getting is massive if you do choose to spring for the vods and HQ stream.
The pricing is kinda high, but considering how long it's gonna last, it's not terribly bad. I'd kinda prefer the option of a GSL/GSTL combo deal though!
|
GSTL is huge ! One thing that was frustrating with the old GSL was that sometimes your favorite player was out in first round and you didn't get to see him play for at least a month. It's not the case anymore, with this GSTL we'll be able to see the player we are fan of (for me MKP, MVP and Bomber :p) play A LOT more. That's why the TL is awesome
|
About code A, see this :

It seems that the first GSL week of the season will have a 2 broadcasts a day, 13:10 and 18:10 KST. (image source = capture from the code S group nomination show )

HYPE HYPE. Really looking forward to the Team-league. Also, I would like to see this added.

Ah. That should be edited into the OP or GOM should change their post to show the correct schedule -_-

I am soo looking forward to the new GSTL format!

I agree the Pro League system is more exciting and really relies on the entire team, rather than 1 star player winning it solo. For example, KT Rolster (BW team) does semi good to bad in Pro League because they can only really rely on wins from Flash, Stats and maybe Action, while hoping from some wins from others, but in Winner league KT suddenly becomes one of if not the best team, simply because Flash is so good, he can win matches by himself, or with just 1 or 2 win support from his team.
Both systems have pros and cons, so we will just have to see it play out on this large scale in SC2.

GomTv!!
Please please PLEASE allow us to buy a yearly subscription to everything!

The format looks somewhat tricky but eventually we (or at least I) will get the hang of it, I also love the fact that Sheth made Code A!! This next GSL and GSTL season are gonna be awesome!!!
|
Does gom make more money on ad supported? I dont mind the bing commercials so much haha
|
Can't wait to watch the changes!
|
Gah I wish that there was a rebroadcast the next day at like 7 or 8 pm est. 5:10 am is soooo damn late.
|
MrChae, thanks for upgrading the HQ stream. I am VERY excited about getting 720p HQ streams (or better).
|
I'm going to have to buy my first GSL season ticket as I can't watch Code A at 12:10 AM and Code S at 5:10 AM.
I MIGHT buy the GSTL as it lasts for a very long time. Really wish they had a discount for buying the 3 GSL's and the 1 GSTL for the 3+ months they last. Even $44.96 would be a nice discount($10) for all of that.
|
Nobody is really talking about the MLG seed, was it announced somewhere else earlier and i just missed it? Because thats a huge improvement! Really glad to see gomtv listening to the player feedback and adjusting their compensation when, admittedly, they did not have to.
Overall all it looks great. Really glad to see them so invested in improving on a constant basis and not letting things stagnate. Moar tastetosis plz, kthx!
|
They should sell the VODS without the HD Pass for the people who are not buying it becuase its so early in the morning for us. I love this post the time lines and lists of players and formats all laid out so nicely. Im excited for this GSL/GSTL season!
|
I don't know if they already upgraded the stream, but today's group nomination HQ quality was really nice. No sure if it was 720p but it was at least 460p (which is quite good already)
|
whats up with the TSL.Rain forfeit?
|
Pretty hyped about this, and see SC2 coming together like BW is now.
The fee is a bit too high IMO, maybe lowering it or a limited time discount could increase buying rate.
|
Someone tell me how it's possible for a player like tassadar qualifies for code A twice and dongraegu doesn't qualify AGAIN D:
|
1st: 50,000,000KRW (~32,000EUR, 46,000USD) • 2nd: 20,000,000KRW (~13,000EUR, 18,500USD) • Ro4: 5,000,000KRW (~3,200EUR, 4,500USD)
Sup with this pricemoney, thought 1st in Code S always took ~$92.000......

awesome, just decided ill get both tickets anyway At first i thought price of GSTL was a bit to steep, but meh ill get a crate of beer less (GSL keeps me healthy you see!)

Wait, what about Thorzain and Naniwa being invited to Code A?:o
|
In English Thursday is named after Jupiter and Friday is named after Venus as well, but we use the Norse/Germanic equivalent names. Thursday is after Thor and Friday after Frijjo.
It's not related to SC2, but kind of interesting I think.
|
I wish I could buy a premium ticket to watch *all* of the leagues instead of a ticket for each league. Maybe there could be a "combined" ticket at a discount? (3 months of GSL and one season of GSTL for $40, or something like that)
Also, it's stated in the article that the HQ stream will be upgraded. Does that mean the bitrate is going up for the HQ streams? Will the bitrate of the LQ stream stay the same?
Love the format changes, by the way.
|

Thorzain and Naniwa where are they??

Sheth gl and make code a manner up

So if you buy the GSTL pass u can also watch the code S + A vods? its all included?

Glad to see a solid write up from the officials. Super pumped for the GSL and GSTL.

Brilliant scheduling, with FXO and F.United playing in the 'foreign' time slot every week. Kudos.

I'd love to see an option for a full year subscription to either GSL or GSTL or both to cut down on the number of transactions!
|
Can we please have the following:
GSL+GSTL Special Deal Package?
GSTL Monthly Subscription $5 a pop? For those who can't afford or doesn't wanna committ for a full 5 month subscription.
or GSTL @ $20? <- Ususally when you make people pay for the entire thing at once, it should be discounted, but right now, at $25 from June to October, it's $5 a month still, and it's not even full 5 months. I mean yes you still get a lil more content than what it used to be, but the "pennant race/group stages" of the GSTL is obviously less appealing than what it used to be (straight to elimination).
|
Yeah, I would also agree on one ticket for everything. Maybe a quarterly ticket or something. With the new GSL/GSTL formats most of the users will watch both leagues anyways.
|
Genius is listed as Terran :O
Can't wait for the event, considering buying a ticket...
|
Quick question on the with ads/without ads package. Do the ads show up every 10-15 minutes regardless if you are in the middle of a video, or is it only every time you start a new game? For those who have purchased the no ads package, would you say it was worth the extra money? Thanks
|
Code A seems like it got even harder. Less time to prepare for each of the games. You'll be playing Ro32, Ro16, Ro8 in all a week.
But definitely looking forward to this =D
EDIT: Just realised they're not doing Saturday games anymore.
|
Couple of questions I've seen turning up again and again, although I think it's stated quite clearly.. Perhaps I just 'know' since I've watched every single game since season 1.. ^_^
- A GSTL ticket will NOT get you code S and code A viewing. You have to buy the 'Regular Season' package for code S + Code A viewing. - GSTL will last for 3 months. Totally worth the USD25 if you ask me. - GSL July (code S + code A) lasts about 1 month. - When GOM started with the ads in the video, it used to be shown just in the beginning. But, since the season before last season they also showed up during the match. Last season, I bought the 'without ads' package because of it and it worked perfectly.
Glhf!
|
Isn't MMA supposed to be code S because he won MLG?

This is going to be awesome.
One thing though... would it be possible in the future, maybe starting next year, to buy a yearly pass which includes all the GSTL and GSL leagues, I just hate all these micro transactions (I believe paypal takes a fee for each one) I would rather just blow $100 or something at the beginning of the year and forget about it for the rest of the year.

Really? No one else is gonna comment on F.United? In short, F.U.?

The GSTL premium ticket does not include the GSL July games.
GSL and GSTL are two different leagues, separate tickets are required.

Updated the thread with the results of the group selection ceremony:
![[image loading]](http://img.gomtv.net/imgdata/30542.jpg)
Note that TSL.Rain has forfeited, this means that noone from Group A can drop down to the Up and Down matches (since only 4th place does, and Rain is 4th place by default).

Amazing news finally a proper team league for starcraft 2. There's also gonna be a lot of foreign players participating in GSTL , GSL code S and code A. Now all we need is an amazing GSL code S final.
Great work GOM keep it up!!!
|
Wow this is really good news. Keep it up guys. I will be purchasing the GSTL Ticket. it costs a lot but it's well worth the price. I'm not too sure about the format. Will have to wait and see it. Either way, I'm definitely excited for it.
|
Thanks for this. I'm a huge fan of GSL and GSTL and it is awesome to see that GomTV is always improving their tournament in every aspect.
|
Rofl... Am I the only one who noticed the "GSTL 4, This changes everything. Again"
Hilarious, roflll!
Anyway, awesome job GOM! SUPER SUPER SUPER Excited for the GSTL and all the Code S and A brackets, finally, it is starting to really look like the best 64 players on the planet, and when FXO and NaniZain join, it will complete the cycle!
KEEP UP WITH THE GOOD WORK GOM!
|
Wow, GSL just keeps gettin better Gonna keep getting my tickets! Have bought a premium ticket since the beginning of Season 1 <3
|
What can i say, it's too early to spend 25 USD on it . So sad we have to pay to wake up early.
|
Sounds amazing, unfortunately $25 is kind of a lot of money here in Argentina. I guess the price is reasonable for the production and the amount of content, but it's just expensive for me and much higher than previous GSLs and GSTLs

But it's GSL and GSTL in one now though yeah? :o

Soooooo excited!!!! :D ZOMG didn't realize Sheth in Code A!!!!! I was a bit confused about the pricing too. However the GSL and the GSTL are two separate tickets.
Watch GSTL Season 1 on GOMTV.net! Period: June 23 – October 7, Schedule here Standard quality live stream and VOD of first set of each match: free Season ticket (ad supported): 24.99USD Season ticket (without ads): 39.99USD
Watch GSL July on GOMTV.net! Period: June 27 – July 30, Schedule here Standard quality live stream and VOD of first set of each match: free Season ticket (ad supported): 9.99USD Season ticket (without ads): 19.99USD Tickets will be available within the next week
So $35USD for both tickets (with ads)
P.S. A package deal with both GSL and GSTL would be fantastic

No, a $25 pack for both would be great, but they are different leagues and you have to buy 2 tickets if you want GSL + GSTL.

Additionally, the Teamliquid Starleague 3 finalists and top MLG Columbus finishers Thorzain and Naniwa* will be joining forces with team WeMadeFOX to form team F.United and participate in the upcoming GSTL. *1 additional player will be announced in the future.
Well since we all know it's Sheth, ummm what?
Is Sheth going to participate on Fox or FXO? Or both, since they have completely polarized schedules opposite of each other.

Edited the part out now. At the time I wrote this it wasn't announced yet. Sheth plays for FXO.

Very nice format and thanks for these infos! One thing that interests me is the "caster-schedule". Will this stay the way it was, or do you plan any changes there, too?....Tastosis will cast CodeS excklusive? Wolf+new-caster-i-dont-know-of will cast CodeA.....but what about GSTL ? Is that Wolf+new-caster-i-dont-know-of or is there any Tastosis involved??
Greetings, bOOgy

Code S will be casted by Tastosis. Code A will be casted by Wolf + X. GSTL will be casted by both teams in turns.
This is not set in stone however, as unforseen circumstances can always arise.

Replace TSL.Rain with SlayersMMA best player?
seems right considering he was first at MLG (and the first place player was going to get code S, but he's korean right?) .. you got the extra slot, why forfeit it?
|
When is the Code A schedule finalized?
|
OMG
Do they mean X as in the X from davidr64yt?
Plz plz be yes. Ima check pages now o.o

Please tell me that is a typo in the tournament format there.
It says Ro16-Ro8 is Bo3. Ro8 traditionally has been Bo5. There should be absolutely no reason why Ro8 should be best of five either. You are casting them throughout two days which means 4 players/2matches per day, which is exactly the same situation as the Semi finals.
GOM assuade my fears please.
EDIT: also seems like Code A semi-finals have returned to Bo3? No way, too much on the line in Code A now with Code S spot to revert back to Bo3. Two Bo3 is too short for one day.
|
|
Wooo hope this new format begins a proleague sorta thing with SC2 as well Time to hop on and support Boxer's team yet again xD
|
I would just ask for one thing, and that would be the option to buy a package for both teams.
Since it seems bothersome to buy both one at a time.
Which I know I'll do - it just doesn't make much sense to me not offering the combined package.
Doesn't even have to be reduced much if anything, would just be more convenient.
I guess the reasoning will be they don't last as long?
At some point in time, I hope gomtv offers the option of just buying a whole year subscription.
|
i now paid ~140$ to watch gsl cause i bought everything i could also bought alot other things for it

Does anybody know why Rain forfeited? I mean, even if you drop out of ro32, it's still 1,5k.

Great to see GOM are listening to the community, the format changes imo are great and the schedule there makes things very clear as to what is going on. Thanks for all of that. Also good that the early rounds of Code A are crammed into the first week or so (while still having the option of watching Code S or GSTL) as I speak for myself and a few other friends in saying that often those rounds aren't worth watching as we don't know a number of the players (thus don't really show any sentiments towards them) and the gameplay can be a bit tedious or scrappy. As time goes on and the player quality improves though perhaps it will be again necessary to see asap who the next up and comers are.
|
I really dislike the new up/down format. It's already quite tough to get into code A and now after making it to the ro8, the new format makes it even harder than before to win a spot into code S. they no longer have an advantage over the code S 4th place players like in the past when they had 2 chances (against code S 3rd and 4th place player) to get into code S. This also means there will be less player turnover from each code S tournament and we will see almost the same players each time and less weeding out of the crappy code S players. I would rather see more new faces for each new code S tournament.
|
8 players from code S gonna have to play the up & down matches.
The winner of code A will get a spot, the winner of MLG will have one too, and the two first of each up & down group, so 12 people will move to code S.
There will be 36 players in code S the next season instead of 32 this season. How will you handle it in the actual format ?

This is going to be $60 to save me from ads for spanish soap operas and bing. If I could full screen the VOD's while the commercials are playing then I could get up and sit on the couch instead of lurching for an extra 30 seconds or more. Anyway, good job to GOM for making a product that I can't seem to entertain myself without.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the group play goes for the GSTL, but I wish the HQ stream was better quality like the TSL/DreamHack streams were.

Hmm, I know I heard them talk about the Code S seed at MLG Columbus, but I thought there was some complication with Korean players when I saw that MMA was still in Code A. Does anyone know why he is not in Code S after winning MLG?
I hope things work out with TSL Rain

Why so expensive GOM? Looks like I'll be watching korean vods this time round
|
God damn I love GSL. I don't even give a fuck about the price haha.
|
Why such a small prize pool for the winning team? With the price of the subscription and the amount of participation on the teams part, this seems quite low. A prize pool of $100,000.00 like you did in the super tournament seems a better fit.
I'm sure the scheduling with the GSL will affect the players participation in the GSTL as well. I'm betting if players have a GSL match the same week as their GSTL match, we won't be seeing them participate.
|
This is coolest setup so far, I am pumped

I think there should be a discount for users who have bought every single stuff at GSL. I've also watched every single one of them... and honestly, give SOME discount to older CLIENTS/CUSTOMERS as you guys did on the first three seasons
anyway, I'm going to buy it, i hope the GSTL is gooood or i'll just buy GSL/NASL/whatever other good tournament deserves paying for it ^^.

It's 8 drop from Code S. 1 spot from Code A winner; 1 from MLG winner. 6 from Up & Down matches (there's 3 groups for Up & Down, 2 Code S spots from each group).

I almost forgot ... they also provide five times the content of previous GSTLs per season, this more than justifies the price of 25 USD. I even purchased the ad-free version for 40 USD because I feel it is worth it.
• More SlayerS • This means more chances to see Min, MMA, Ganzi, or another one of Boxer's guys. • Finally some foreigners in a regular GSTL • Every Bo7-series provides a story for itself. All series connect to an overarching, even more insane story line. You don't just watch some matches, but also witness the drama. Once you got your first GSTL experience, you need your next GSTL fix soon.

However, in my first paragraph I was actually referring to Code S Ro8 (sorry, I didn't explicitly say it), which is according to every schedule I've seen from GOM as being over the course of 2 days.
So going back to my original inquiry, is the Code S Ro8 really a best-of-three or best-of-five as it normally is?
