It's about the same, the point is the turn out for MOST mtg/tcg related stuff is higher at the current moment. Atleast on a week to week basis.

While yes common decency would suggest that these people need belts, bigger pants, or to lose weight, its still a matter of "bullying" on the internet. I assure you that none of those people wanted their picture taken nor were they told in any way that this was going to be published. Many in the community thought that while it was funny it should have been actioned on, not only in terms of punishment but in terms that the community needed an actual wakeup call that yes this is a very big deal. Currently the debate people keep posting is one like this. + Show Spoiler [Image is big] + ![]() Many in the community really dislike going in to shops now a days mostly because the smell is actually out there. There are, however a very vocal miniorty in the community that think this store should be stripped of its ability to sell Wizards product because they find it discriminatory, and have gotten as far as getting stores reported to wizards. Nerds and people of the internet era that lack social skills simply don't understand that if I can smell you from across a table that it is a problem. In a way it's not any different from the asscrack man, but has caused as big of a stir in the same regard. And while I agree with what the sign is trying to say (because god can only help me if I have to bring febreeze with me to my first round of a PTQ), but there are much better ways of handling it, and is it the Stores responsibility, or is it the responsibility of the organizers of the events to make sure people can hold a dress code. Why is this even a debate? If it's an event then it's the right of the event holder to determine the dress code of the attendees if they want. I've honestly never experienced this kind of thing here in SA so maybe it's just a culture thing I'm not seeing. If you can't be bothered to groom/dress yourself in a decent way for an event then well you shouldn't be allowed in. Is this the whole fat acceptance thing? It's not like being fat automatically means you are smelly/badly dress/badly groomed. That's all on you not your weight lol. Skinny people can be just as bad or worse.

So is he like the alcooholic who hangs nearby the liquor store, offering passers-by money to go in and buy some for him? It's even got the addiction parallel! ![]() Wave, you're jelly all the time. You should try not being jelly. Or find the things about you that would make other people jelly. The start of Jojo's (and Jojo's itself for the first third/quarter) is super old school, you can really tell it's been written in the 80s. Which made me think about Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star): if you read it it's actually not that bad, although it has its layer of kitsch, if you can see through it and aren't bothered by the values it talks about (manhood, mutual respect, stoicism and understanding amongst others, it also has an almost-litteral Jesus in it), it was quite enjoyable. Not in a "this is #1 on my list!" or "this work'll influence how I view every other one from now on", but it genuinely made you care or gripped you at times. The contrast certainly played a role in the good impression (in the same way MonMusu positively surprised me with its themes and some of its plot because I went in thinking "see for yourself what these hentai games are like" and with no or low expectations), but that made me wonder: how is it perceived in America? In France "Ken the Survivor" is infamous for being a super-exaggerated, silly, pseudo-comedic action cartoon. Seeing the show's premises, the VA refused to dub it unless they could change the lines, leading to a lot of absurdity (when Yuria jumps from the balcony, it's translated so that it's instead the structure failing and making her fall, with Shin yelling "Nooo, bring me that architect!", Nanto is the target of puns such as "Nanto de fourrure" (fur coat) because of similarity between Nanto and manteau (coat) in the name of techniques, etc.) and censuring most of the violence. I don't think most people have any idea about the plot, other than it being a survivor who kills bad guys in a post-apocalyptic setting. When you talk about "Ken", they'll think about the dub, the ridiculousness, and see it as a joke. How's it perceived here, where I assume you had the correct dub?
