There's actually a lot of players here in Chicagoland, but no one is organized enough to create a big league or even monthly events. To be fair, I have more than enough fun playing at my local store with friends and working on painting at my apartment. But after Adepticon's big championship, it really got my competitive edge going and I want to do more like that. Tournaments for what? If there's non-sports event I want to fly out to attend, its got to be Evo. 40k tourneys. Not to watch, but to participate in.
40k is slow as shit to watch, hence why most Youtube Battle Reports tend to be edited to either end of turn wrap ups, or heavily cut to just show general movement and dice rolls.

yo Parnage, what's that space game you've been playing? He's been playing Elite: Dangerous
This is correct. It is fun, if you like space games but it is complex and it helps if you have a friend to guide you or like doing research.
Also I play minecraft in spurts whenever I get bored of things. Generally just to silently mine and collect materials while living in some well hidden home built into the side a mountain or something due to my paranoia about other players.
Most ambitious was building a mountain top to cover a home, it was an interesting idea but I wasn't happy with it. There was the whole Temple complex build which is the reason I will never gather clay again but it was the most beautiful and pleasing thing I've done in the game. Most fun build goes to my Tower of Doom, a tower building up into some absurd skyplatform that turned the land under it into darkness. It was at this point I realized I was the bad guy.

Jokes depreciate sharply in value when they have to be highlighted and repeated by the OP.

If there's non-sports event I want to fly out to attend, its got to be Evo. + Show Spoiler +It's interesting that most people mention Evo when talking about one gaming event to be at, but to me it seems like smaller events such as CEO or UFGT (technically rip but its supposed to be continued with same staff minus Keits under a different name, right?) might be better for your one fighting game event. CEO seems to be pretty equal to EVO when it comes to spectating (a bit smaller, but fucking rings and cages man), and UFGT seems to cater towards an average entrant with the panels, mystery tournament and no-bullshit attitude towards top player privilege when running pools (something that Evo reportedly has many problems with). Plus you're more likely to meet or even play against a known player, since at Evo they probably wouldn't have time for every "fan".
I should start saving for a ticket and visa to usa :/
Quite true, and I have thought of going to CEO last year (plane ticket to from Phily to Florida > Philly to Vegas), but Evo has the added bonus of being in Vegas, which I can take a trip with my non-FGC friends to go to at the same time.

I appreciate cleverness and I appreciated your post Soniv. It wasn't clever enough to convince me to respond though.

Looks like there's no WB dragon, welp. I think that's what I'd play if I were to build a deck based on the block, possibly splashed with green. I guess I'd still do it, but without the multicolored cards, or some Dromoka stuff.
Edit: it looked way longer with all the URLs in full text. Well, still spewed all over anyway so better spoiler it.

Best archetypes so far in DTK (limited) seem like W/G and U/B with W/U in third probably. I haven't yet faced off against an aggro deck that couldn't be crushed, but then again multiple Sarkhan's Rage can be scary.

Living lore removing an x spell would have x be 0 when it resolved through that effect.
Profaner is OK, but heroes downfall and ultimate price do a better job.
Stratus dancer is a fun card, very good in block and draft but not so much in standard.
Shaman is an alternate win con in some decks but is pretty bad most of the time.
