FWIW - large hard drives are not very expensive. I just did a quick google and saw 1 TB HDDs for $100 (or $50+ with Amazon Prime). I've already got one of those alongside my SSD, and have been thinking about getting a 2nd one
I've always been an intel fanboi, but I'm not really sure which is technically "better"

Outside of super budget, Intel gives you more for your money.
Yeah I had problems with that as well. Also I felt that the missions in general weren't as fun. Also the cast of characters I thought was lacking. I get that Starcraft 2 doesn't have amazing writing by any stretch of the imagination, I like the characters in Wings of Liberty a whole lot more than the characters in Heart of the Swarm.
Granted, Zerg doesn't give you much to work with in terms of potential characters.

yeah AMD doesnt really have anything that can compete with the haswells and games wont use the like 6 cores that they come with.

Honestly that's just bad writing. It shouldn't be impossible to make interesting Zerg characters (it was done in SC and BW), and even if you struggle there you can also provide foils and interesting characters via interactions with Humans and Protoss.
HotS would probably have been better if it was more of a tragedy-story. If they'd established that Kerrigan valued her returned humanity, and then put her in situations that chipped away at it out of irrefutable, painful necessity it would have been a better story. As written it just ends up being "WELP IMMA BE ZERG AGAIN".
