no matter what anyone tells you - school matters so little once you're in the real world

It's fest season at OU right now so there's basically a big street party every weekend for the rest of the year despite a few exceptions. I had planned on going to the ones on the next two Saturdays, but I got roped into working an event for my internship for one weekend and then right after that I got a text from my dad saying he needs help moving this upcoming weekend. Just a bummer because I thought my weekends were going to be free for the most part.

Oh, man, yeah I totally feel you. Always rough when you think you have time to do things for yourself and someone else's plans come in and trump yours. I had a few instances of resenting my parents for forcing plans on me when I was planning on doing something.

If I'm lucky I'll be able to help my dad on Friday since I told him that was better for me, but that's still 8 hours total of travel I wasn't expecting + cost of gas.

Hello friends and other folk. How are your days going?

The lack of caffeine is killing me. Headaches abound.

Starting a new job is exciting. Except it's slow as fuck. I could be doing so much but I'm waiting on access to severs and other shit. I spend most of my days doing actually nothing. By the time I have stuff to do my passion will have gone.

I hate mondays. The line at subway is always like 15 people longer.

My day started off slowly trying to shake off the after effects of the weekend. but now i feel like i only killed the weak brain cells and the heard is moving along faster as a whole. getting shit done at work. got free icecream at DQ too cause its the 75th anniversary.
saturday was amazing, went to my friends fundraiser and it was sponsored by a couple micro breweries. much free beer was drank that day. later that night i was out dancing on a drug i don't do often so that was fun too.

Comas weekend sounds sweet. All I did was pack and play magic.

i didnt even mention the show i went to on friday night! Toronto Long Winter was mostly local heavy rock bands but was headlined by Vag Halen. They are so talented you can appreciate their skill even while distracted by their half nakedness.

I slept a bit over 3h last night. Worst thing is I'm not even tired, I'm just dysfunctional. Meh.

I figure 99% of you wont care, but JonGalt might so here goes...
Yesterday I went to the NYCFC home opener at Yankee Stadium. We beat the New England Revolution 2-0 and I gotta say David Villa played really well, I'm super happy to see hes still got it. The atmosphere was solid too, the stadium was basically full at 43,000 ppl. Lots of "Boston sucks" "fuck you boston" "N-Y-C" chants. Once I got over the fact that the NYCFC jerseys are exactly the same as the Man City ones (just different logos) it was a good time. NYCFC actually look like a pretty good team, and Mix Diskerud is an American hero.
