Losing 1/3 of their territory isn't the same as losing pi(R1/3)^2, it's the same as losing pi(R^2)*1/3. Thus there would be a new R value corresponding with what that Area is now. Either your maths is incorrect or what you said they said is different.

Cheep is getting Euro'd really hard right now. Might close the thread off from them.
We should be so lucky.

Also impressing patients with the very little Chinese I learned feels good man. The only thing I truly remember and can say well enough to not make people laugh at me is 'sanguong' or however you would transliterate that. I also vaguely have an idea of how to tell people to look in different directions but I'm definitely not as confident of that.
Also numbers.

your first line is saying that losing 1/9th of the area isnt the same as losing 1/3rd o the area which i agree with i guess?

I don't think happy and sad are opposite emotions
it feels weird to me when people assume they are

A1 = pi(R1^2) A2 = pi(R2^2) = 2/3A1 (R2^2) = 2/3(R1^2). R2 = 4/9R1
That's what you said written in mathematics. Losing 1/3 of ones territory implies losing a 1/3 of the total area hence the calculation above. That's different to what you saying now where the radius is changing by 1/3. So as I said either your maths was incorrect of the statement of "losing 1/3 territory" is incorrect. So yea either bad translation of the manga is dumb

but thats what i was trying to say in the first place you are just repeating my calculations what is this the radius isn't changing at all im just substituting in 2/3R instead of using R2 so i just did everything in one line instead of 4 lol.

Please, take your math argument to the Lux thread, where math belongs.

yeah we need someone to shed light on the situation
its not even an argument numy is just irately agreeing with me i don't understand at all

I'm not making myself clear I guess. Does the anime state that R2 = 2/3R1? Since that's a different statement than A2 = 2/3A1. You can't just substitute R2 = 2/3R1 if it's the latter statement. That's all I'm asking.
