That actually didn't go TOO badly---I did better than I expected considering I barely know what cards are considered OP or not. Ended up being a duo Gruul aggro deck with the signet and everything. The aggro part worked out really nicely---best I did was bring one of the more experienced players down to 1 and then I couldn't draw any more direct damage  . I think part of the problem was I wasn't committed to aggro either---the green section of my deck was shored up for lategame (and I took Ulamog for shits and giggles after I picked up Tooth and Nail) so I had no real midgame anything. At least that felt good because I could hold my own (despite losing) against the other players.Conspiracy went terribly. Someone drafted a Boros that I couldn't last time because the cards never showed (Defenders/Angels/Soulcatchers), someone else drafted half flyers and the other half removal, I forget the rest. Mine was some unholy Golgari that just ended up being mono-green once I realized I couldn't make all the black removal work by splashing 'cause my black creatures were shitty. Got mana-screwed and had no good removal/creatures to speak of (had a couple Plummets but can't exactly Plummet Pristine Angel), AND got RNG-screwed EVERY TIME I used a card with Parley (Selvala's enforcers gained +2/+2 and +1/+1 with 5 people in the game, and Selvala's Charge gained me ONE fucking elephant). Didn't even manage to pick up any decent cards---best rare I got was Deathrender I think. | ||
