But yes I do think the show is better than the books. I think he is a terrible writer. He should be writing books for the young adult section. I think the books COULD be better. I just feel like he adds a lot of unnecessary filler to appear as if his books are quality literature but it ends up turning out to be pretty boring and repetitive. For example, it seems to me that every character has a dream that is basically what they did that day but a slight bit more nightmarish splashed with their obvious fears. He tries so hard to develop all these characters but it seems to happen in the same way (obviously Bran's dreams are necessary). I think it is also a byproduct of how he structures the story by following so many characters and dedicating chapters for each one. If you get to a character that you don't like or find interesting you know you have to sit through a whole chapter (and more to come). I think his story is fantastic and his universe is awesome, I just wish it was in the hands of another writer. | ||
