I have the opposite feeling. My family is scattered across the country. Some of my high school friends stayed put but many left Massachusetts. Some of my college friends stayed in New York but many also left, although I feel like for those that didn't it was partially a matter of living-with-parents economics. I myself travel a lot for my job and so meet a lot of people in a similar position.
I don't think any country could function if people were moving everywhere all the time, but I imagine that we leave home much more than the average European just because it's easier to move farther while staying in the country. Plus, it just gets easier and easier to travel... it's only fairly recently that flying in an airplane has become cheap and common (and cramped), so the legal and cultural barriers are more of an obstacle, relatively.
yeah college age kids often travel and live elsewhere, but a large number of people stay put or return home to start a family. also historically there are very few people who actually move around in america to form new families in the new home.
even someone who spends their 20's in cali is likely to move back home to ohio in their 30's to start a family. Part of the reason for people to raise families in a single area is support for the children, part is support for their aging parents, and part is nostalgia of home. also there is the fact that people are more likely to have children in areas experiences economic growth, so being raised in an area of growth makes you more likely to return to that are and continue its growth and have kids there.
its not ironclad. transplanted families wouldn't surprise anyone, but they are no where near the majority.
You also have to remember, as someone inclined to travel you are more likely to befriend people similar to you. think about all the kids in your high school that grew up to take over the family business, or stayed in your home town. its often as many as those that go to college, and of the people from college some of them return home or close by as well.

DS2 DLC hasnt changed, you can get all 3 for $25 though. SUPER worth.
Winter break is coming up, I think I might use it to stream a run through Dark Souls 2, we'll see.

Do you guys think Lethal League will go on sale for cheaper, or is this the lowest it'll go?

Anyone played Alien Isolation and the DLC? The game looks amazing (and the Let's Plays are cool), but I dunno if the DLC is worth.

-75% is the cheapest you'll see a good game in the first couple years I dunno what its at right now, but if you can wait until summer you can probably catch it on a community choice or flash sale for that.

My friend who is really into Demon Souls/Dark Souls 1 hated 2, and from the little played of 2, it wasn't as great imo. Still, it's cheap and I might pick up the DLC if I ever get around to playing it/finishing it.

Oh by the way, Dark Souls 1 has moved from G4WL to Steamworks, and you can transfer your save data/achievements any time from now until Feb 16.

People are also saying the DLC is much closer to Dark Souls than the game.

So Tolkien. Day9 got to rank 2 with his control echo giants deck. lol.

Can't decide if ill get the dlc yet. Jeff stream some DS2.i want to see if the problems I had been having with it are just me being bad or what. I just had so much trouble getting into it.

Hah, I wish smashing grounds was closer though. It's really tough to justify making a 2 hr round trip on a Thursday night to get my ass handed to me.
But it's k, #praisyfordaisy

the former
it's a pretty hilarious deck to watch him play, especially cuz he acknowledges how many mistakes he makes

I just had so much trouble getting into it. a lot of people on release bitched about dodge rolls in DS2, before it was discovered that agility governs the amount of i frames you have on your roll, for instance you need 105 agility to have the same amount of i frames as dark souls 1 fast rolling. also because the invincibility is based on frames and not time, 60 fps PCs have half the invincibility of console versions of the game. same was true of dark souls.
the two complaints about DS2 were: its too hub based, and the combat feels weird, the second is the result of agility (high agility makes you attack, cast, dodge, block faster and better, low agility penalizes you), an the first is a call back to demon souls, as many fans of demon souls wanted DS2 to be more like demon souls, and that was the goal at the start of development.
