You want a stable job?
That will really differentiate you from the rest of those seeking new places of employment.
Kinda cool for some people who don't know, when working in the radio or television fields it's actually common practice to inform your boss that you intend on searching for a job at a different station. If you don't do that and they find out (the industry loves talking to each other) they will try their damndest to make you look bad in the eyes of your new potential employer. Instead you tell your boss you want to move for whatever reason and they (usually) try to help you in beginning conversation with someone that they know from the station ("I'll talk to Joe, their programming director there for you. We both worked at WXYZ back in the day, he's a good guy."). It's really old-timey and odd considering in just about every other job market telling your boss you want to leave for a different place is not common practice.

At this point I'm thinking of just looking at government. Sure, it might be soul-drainingly boring, but the stability and benefits tho.

Yeah not like they've ever done anything like shutdowns before. Yep, totally stable. Backpaying is an effective method of payment.

My current place skipped paychecks and took 20% off for a few months. That was in June. We still haven't seen it.
Backpay would be a step up.

doesnt matter, if he incorporated, he'd protected from wrong doing as long as he pleads the 5th.
thats how florida has its current governor that we just re-elected.Rick Scott who plead the 5th 75 times when the company he was CEO of committed 14 felonies.
