This is basically what I pay per semester as well. Factor in the money I get from scholarships and it turns out that my education is a fair bit cheaper than some other people.

I was really hoping to stay at this one for more than a year, just so I could have one on my resume longer than 12 months, but the direction of the company is going downhill, and fast. Sigh. Time to poke around at recruitment companies and old contacts. If you don't mind me asking, how did it go downhill? I had the same experience working at the local coffee shop. For four years I watched it slowly fall apart. It's still around, but I'm not expecting it to last. That place is a barely functioning establishment.

He just mentioned about they have only 3 senior developer, that 1 got fired, another is going to only do part time, and another one quit, I think? Oh well, think of it as an opportunity to move up in the world Req.

Our dev team has (for the next two weeks) 2 developers. They have 2~4 projects between them, all of which require full time developers and have very tight, strict deadlines. Our business team sees no problem with this. In fact, they see so little problem with it that they are adding more work with shorter deadlines and asking why the original work isn't getting done, when they ask the dev team to work on new things instead. There are a million things to get done, and rather than sticking to a plan of attack, our boss would rather add more things, complain when nothing gets done on time, and then blame the devs for not working overtime. Not to mention that the management is all business oriented and won't take "this is a realistic time estimate for this amount of work" for an answer, so things that will take a month of development and testing are expected to be pushed out in a week. They also see no problems with this, then wonder why deadlines are struggled to be met and why things aren't thoroughly tested. They don't understand that development is quick or correct, rarely both. Oh well, think of it as an opportunity to move up in the world Req. As above, even if they offered me a senior dev role and a bump in pay (which they won't, since they already listed the job online without discussing it with me), I don't know if I'd want to work under that kind of environment. Support, I get to be removed from it for the most part. I do my own thing, keep customers happy, grease squeaky wheels and all that. I want to do new development work, that's the fun stuff, but looking at what I'd have to deal with... no dice.
