A friend sometimes rants about how a roommate was a Star Wars nerd and particularly liked the sound Star Destroyers made in a specific The Empire Strikes Back shot where two go "near" each other. He'd put that shot over and over and it'd drive said friend crazy.
So starting today and for three days a dozen of bars host concerts in my town. Learnt it at noon by a friend's text and looked it up just now. I've been so cut off the last few days, coming home past 8 PM stressed and just wanting to sit down and empty my head before cooking some stuff.

Oh god, reminds me of my Kenyan roommate who's laptop hardrive was clearly having issues - it sounded like it was grinding, like there was a freaking tablesaw cutting logs in the room, but he mostly just ignored it and never got it fixed. Drove me nuts. Every so often he would slap it but this did not work.
It was really loud, as in people walking through the hall coming in our room and asking wtf we were doing.

Usually means dust. Mine does that from time to time, I need to get something for it but I haven't had the time what with how late I came off work. >_>
My laptop's been described as made a pain in the ass to open and check on purpose, which is why the people at the store didn't like the Toshiba brand (different than where I bought it). They advised me to get an air pump for inflatable mattresses/tents over a dusting spray (prob not the right word, couldn't find it), works just as fine and costs 6€ instead of 30€ while being usable longer. 'cept stores don't sell camping stuff anymore what with winter, I'll have to find a sport furniture store that isn't too expensive when I have time.

Reading roommate stories lets me know I've been extremely lucky to just live with friends who I have grown up with. We are all decently good roommates and everyday is just a blast when we are all home.

I've had some pretty diverse roommates actually. Hong Kong, Kenya/Sudan, India, England. And of course the exotic Windsor native.
