The removal (backstab, eviscerate, sap in a way) is good tempo-wise but weak in terms of damage, then need neutral silences to deal decently with a lot of stuff, and their finisher was Leeroy back when he was worth it, which isn't exactly the biggest lategame powerhouse either. How do you win a game that went late with Rogue's manapool? They have other hard removal (Assassinate, that new Sabatoge card). The basic theory would be much like Control Warrior. Cheap spells/removals with large minion threats, with battlecries to further control the board. Eg. SI: 7 .
Again, not something I think would be really something that would eclipse Miracle.
Also, Rogues use Malygos right now and Sinister Strikes. Malygod Rogue is terror, and will remain so even with Gadgetzan nerfs.

There isn't really any way for your opponent to play around it... just seems like a lame mix of baron geddon and war golem to me. It's a mix of the two, but the main thing is the 2 damage AoE is free so drawing like Turn 3/4 against a Hunter would be insane and can win you a game right then and there, whereas Baron Geddon needs to be played in order to anti-aggro.
Again, agree. Might be used as an anti-aggro tool however.

I'm pretty annoyed at how the expansion has quite a few decent cards, but also so many that are so RNG-focused.
"When you draw this, do X" kind of effects make more sense when there's actual deck manipulation effects in the game.

Anything with no ability to counterplay is shit design

Expecting a graveyard mechanic first though.

I thought shuffling/deck manipulation was explicitly on their list of things they don't want?

Was there any reason why? I hadn't ever heard of specific design decisions they wanted to avoid.

Ok? I don't think the proper answer to "lots of things are deathrattle based" is "let's introduce board clear that can happen at any time with no ability to counterplay it". Not that I know what the proper response would be, and I could just be yelling at the wind here. It could be fine, it just feels bad in my brain.

can't comment on that part

Cobra shot is terrible and Blizzard should feel terrible.
That needs to be 4 mana to be viable.

So CSGO is filled with shitter 10 hour accounts tonight and i got fed up and was deciding what to do at 9:30pm.
-Hmm, lets watch a film. (I then find Fury and Inglorious basterds) -Oh i should play some path of exile while i wait for the weekend to be able to play D3: RoS! -Proceed to forget about PoE after ~10 mins browsing TL/Interwebs -Fuck, what was i going to do again? -Oh yeah, IMDB Fury. Meh, lets watch Inglorious basterds. -Turn off PC, boot up laptop, go toilet, go downstairs for munchies / drink -FUCK I MEANT TO PLAY POE.
Now i reaaaaallllly want to play PoE but am far too lazy to get dressed and boot up my PC again. Im so buying an SSD this christmas.
In fact, im upgrading my PC altogether fuck it. 2nd monitor. new GPU. SSD, keyboard, mouse, headset, table, chair and my wife can suck it because she's been on 2 holidays without me this year T.T and is still asking for MOAR shit.

Cobra Shot exists because limited formats only ever make sense with card quality variance. If every card is good by design it reduces the depth of limited formats. The card quality/appropriateness tradeoff is core to making limited have meaningful gameplay. Even bad removal is still removal when your draft needs it badly.
Granted, Blizzard hasn't ever given a fuck about making Arena a meaningful format (and as it exists now, card quality trumps all other considerations in Arena anyway), so who knows.
EDIT: From this perspective, I'd actually voice the perspective that, for what it is, Cobra Shot is actually one of the better designed cards of the set. It's limited fodder, but it's effect and cost are perfectly placed for what it is.

What is the saying "rip the piss out" actually describing? I'm kind of imagining someone's urethra being yanked out right now.

As I recall, I stumbled onto HDStarcrafts broodwar matches, then husky, then NuketheStars(That man is a saint) and then I finally went to TL as all of them used this place for info about the players.
I quite literally went down the list of the matches they had up and went from one to the other. I had much more time to do so back then..
