Probably the most famous example. Honestly it's probably harder to find young male characters actually voiced by little kids. Only examples that come to mind are Chowder from Chowder and I guess you could count Catbug (but that's an online show so the lines are blurred). | ||

So there no complete proof but, in my opinion, the evidence is heavily weighted towards guy. At the very least I would rather not get into an argument with everyone I meet about Kirby's gender when "he" can be perfectly acceptable for a genderless character. | ||
