1. Kanto started it all, respect it. Also plenty of the 151 are still used today. You bet your ass people hate my chansey and learn to fear my Parasect. Admittedly it had the flaws of gen 1 but besides the safari zone I loved that place.
2. Fennekin and Tepig are awesome best starters. You know not actually good or anything but they look cool.

I'm specifically refering to the stage ones, not the evolved forms that turn into godzilla.
The water starters are always the hardest to tier, its's very top heavy.
1) Totodile
2) Oshawott
3) Piplup
4) Mudkip
5) Froakie
6) Squirtle.
