Keep in mind though I'd consider myself a little above straight newbie (whether I am or not is a different story). Any mechanics I should look out for? Strategies based on the theoretical card pool? It's a core set draft so the archetyping tends to not be that complicated. Though it'd still probably be useful for you to once-over the card list just to know what's in the pool.

Triplicate Spirits looks expensive, but I don't know much about spell pricing in MtG, what would you expect something like that to cost without the convoke rule? (I assume the tokens enter untapped so you can use them to convoke other shit on top of it. Iirc lands enter the field untapped but creatures do?) TL;DR Triplicate works as "reduce that thing's cost as much as you can and play it asap, get 3 white lands for your ramp (and if you've got buffs they can use them+Flying for face later)" ? Edit: Cone of Flame is like 7 years old, is that still in the current block's pool in drafts? Oo

It hinges strictly on the number of Triplicate Spirits I get, and if you see a Cone of Flame take it and try and play it especially early in the draft. That spell is just too house. Oooooh Convoke is a cool mechanic. Never seen that one before.

Triplicate Spirits and green white are good because of the curve it can present. T1: Plains, 1 drop, T2, Forest, 2 drop, T3: Land, Cast Triplicate spirits by tapping 3 mana and 2 creatures. Go off to the races. Add in that you have some of the best combat tricks in the game with the fact that your guys are small with evasion or massive vanillas and you can get out of hand much before you opponent drops a threat that you need removal for (Which you will have not much of because you are green white). Cone of Flame was reprinted in the M15 set I believe strictly for draft purposes. I don't expect it to see much play in standard.

You just have to buy 10 packs, then you can just pick a colour and only use that. Having different colours can be useful too, lets you roll for different things in the same throw of the dice

Is the fact that I am a Terran player really that bad? Are you going to judge me for the champions that I play in League of Legends as well? In unrelated news, Happy Tuesday everyone! You're much more of a man than I am. To be expected of course, you are staff for Team Liquid and I heard the requirement to be staff on Team Liquid was to be more manly than a lumberjack.

Drunk Soniv seems like he'd be pretty entertaining. Is he going to be drunk while he casts the best of seven? That'd make for some good commentary for sure. Me personally though, the thought of getting drunk terrifies me. The thought of not being 100% aware of my actions doesn't still well with me. That, and I fear what kind of person I'd become if drunk. I haven't been drunk before in my life though, so these thoughts are (irrational?) speculation at this point.

Once it's done you realized how dumb you were to make a big deal in the first place.
