but blackouts are solved by saying "no" past a point, and the consequences of being drunk are solved through having good friends or practice.* *No amount of practice can let you drive safely while drunk. The lack of control isn't really a lack of control, its more of a lack of second thinking any decision. but you can be pretty drunk before that filter just disappears. for instance, I, drunk as hell, took pictures for my brothers wedding during his reception. some of them are pretty good, a lot of terrible, mostly because it was my first time with that camera and i couldn't figure out how long i needed to push the button down to auto focus ect. so a lot of pictures were late. I'd have been better sober. but oh well. I had fun. I didn't drink too much until we went to a bar after and the girl's boyfriend who i went with got far too drunk so i finished his drinks for him.. that was my mistake because i had been turning down drinks prior, but when someone orders a 9 dollar IPA and doesn't drink it, my cheapness and guilt overrode my gameplan. lol

And I don't like it so I stop drinking too so as not to cross the line where I wouldn't even realise it anymore. People who tell you alcohol makes you talkative lie. ![]()

Is he going to be drunk while he casts the best of seven? That'd make for some good commentary for sure. Me personally though, the thought of getting drunk terrifies me. The thought of not being 100% aware of my actions doesn't still well with me. That, and I fear what kind of person I'd become if drunk. I haven't been drunk before in my life though, so these thoughts are (irrational?) speculation at this point. I can say with almost 100% certainty that I will not be sober for the Zerg supremacy.

The whole "too drunk to know what I'm doing" thing doesn't really happen in my experience. If someone is that drunk they will either be comatose standing/floor position or spewing the contents of their stomach. I think a lot of people just use the whole "I'm drunk" as an excuse to do really dumb shit. A drunk asshole will be an asshole even when not drunk. I find knowing your limits is pretty important. Much better to know than to live in fear of it than one day you do drink but overdo it due to not knowing. It's pretty funny I have a friend who drinks way less than me and at the end of first year he decided to go out with my mates and I after we had a big braai at his place. He tries to keep up after I warn him against it and the night ends hour earlier with him throwing up into a jug of vodka(Freaking good aim I might add). Being a good friend I took him home with a cab and made sure he had buckets/towels near by before going on. Now he knows his limits so he's never reached that point again but has had plenty of fun nights drinking responsibly.

Would also be fun to share them with my friends, just so the can see how badly I lost to a random person on the internet. I think it's safe to assume they will be saved somewhere

Memories of college where sober BP is woken up at 4am and has to drive to the store with half-drunk friend Kyle to get seltzer water to help settle the stomach of his drunk friend Beth who has been puking in the toilet for an hour crying because she's so drunk. We were really close to bringing her to a hospital even because she was that bad. Don't try to drink 1.5 bottles of liquor, friends.
