My overarching point is that 'peak condition' and 'average human being' aren't really that far removed when it comes to chances of contracting different cancers. Once you eliminate obvious things like smoking cigarettes and inhaling asbestos and whatnot, cancer doesn't really give a shit that Ronaldo is 9% bodyfat and can run for miles with much less perceived effort, and happens to be a magician with his feet and a football. Cancer killed some 550k people in the US in 2010(that was the date for the cdc stats, didn't care to dig seeing if they have more recent ones as for the purposes of this discussion it's just fine), which means that EVERYONE has a pretty damn slim chance of dying from it. "Someone like Ronaldo" is basically the same as saying "not fat people who aren't at high risk of diabetes and heart disease" which isn't saying much. That's pretty much my point. equating health with %bodyfat is ludicrous and i said "except cancer" the whole time. you said "most major diseases don't give a fuck about your condition" when aside from cancer they pretty much dl if your arterties are super elastic and shit you wont get heart attacks i think someone study and inuits with a fish and blubber diet had ZERO cases of heart disease throughout the 70's and when they moved to denmark those stats went to normal and ronaldo is at a young enough age that cancer is also very unlikely its like you're talking to a wall here you havent responded to any of my points you just seem to be angry at cancer for killing so many people who don't "deserve it"

Ronaldo is very unlikely to contract heart disease, yes. He is still just as likely to get cancer or get hit by a car, which kills way more people in his age range than heart disease to begin with. So by being healthy he is only slightly less likely to die. tl;dr everyone gets fucked

I have indeed talked to you point(singular, you had one), and yes I never addressed other diseases because there is no need to, but for what it's worth, being in shape will not save your from Meningitis, or Malaria, or AIDS, or diseases FAR rarer than cancer that you will only encounter if you venture into jungles with your bare feet or whatever condition is required to catch/contract them. Heart Disease is essentially the only thing that maintaining 'good health' will save you from, and in a sort of irony, the activities that keep one in shape can actually kill you' by triggering heart failure due to undiagnosed cardiomyopathies(yes, these are also rare). Even Heart Disease, the highest killer of human beings besides ourselves(violence, accidents, suicide), kills at an incredibly small rate in the country most known for it, and while it does 'significantly' cut down on life expectancy(by about 10 years in the morbidly obese), that still puts you into your 60s for the average person. This is why I called your initial post 'stupid shit.' You are arguing that a person who faces almost exactly the same chance of dying on any given day as anyone on this planet in a developed country, is somehow exempt from ever requiring aid from a doctor, and that's without going into how much money and professional care is given to professional athletes to keep them up and running(literally) because of serious injury induced by playing their sport. In short(jokes), athletes need doctors.

Depends how bad the injuries are for portugal. Imo USA has a decent chance if they win this match.

In short(jokes), athletes need doctors. I think we can safely say that ronaldo probably has an exceptionally healthy diet in order to maintain the competitive edge i mean diet and training are the two non mental aspects no way any top athlete today doesn't have an excellently healthy diet I think its absurd to say he has the same chance as anyone else all the people with a genetic condition all the people who bad diets (tons of people) anyone with bad heart, diabetes, parkisons, alzheimers (those two might not be deadly but you might as well be dead if they get too bad lol) pretty much anything except cancers all people with any kind of drug or alcohol problems people who are reckless drivers people with dangerous jobs absolutely athletes need doctors considering all the injuries especially, but i bet if everyone was on that calibur of health you'd probably need like 20% of the health workers we have today i havent checked out the stats tho its just a vague guess i mean people who have to drive a lot will find themselves in car accidents its not "everyone gets fucked" its "very few people get fucked and a lot of them have mental and or physical health problems" although car accidents are a major one I bet someone in great mental and phyiscal health and awareness is much most likely to survive a car accident thanks to good reflexes awareness and more likely to be able to recover from the damage if potentially lethal.

Like you throw a few hits out and if the guy goes down you've done your shit, it gets left at that, you don't keep fucking attacking him and going back again and again while fighting others too. Fuck even when i got mugged and struggled i wasn't beaten that badly. Jesus what a cunt.

CS:GO finals from Dreamhack in 30 mins or so, I think it's a really good spectator e-sport. Especially when casters explain save-rounds etc.
