Triathlon sounds beast as fuck. Good Luck. I'm already having a tough time doing this c25k stuff.
Also update, on 5k. I decided that I wanted to do a fast 5k by the time I'm done with my training. So today I decided to do some sprint interval training, not quite sure how I should start the interval training. Today was supposed to be one of my rest days (saturday and sunday), so I didn't want to do anything too hardcore, so my goal was to do 30 sec 100% sprints, with 2 minute cooldowns, for as many reps as I could maintain near maxspeed (at least 90% of my peak speed). Holy shit, only got 4 good reps in, the 5th one I was noticeably slower. So I stopped.

Dude, 30 sec sprints are hard as fuck, start smaller.

Don't long distance and short distance run use different muscles?

Couldn't you do a slowpoke5k to fastrun5k ina similar manner? Not full sprint as the fast speed though...

well since we have some pretty active posters, what are some good home exercises that I can do for my back/shoulder muscles? I might invest in some dumbbells in the near future but there's not much I can do for my back right now

+ Show Spoiler [pullupstips] + Also overhead press, and weighted wing flaps. uh... arms out straight, small weight, (keep elbow from drifting backwards, shoulder fixed in start position). can be done things like can of beans, jug of milk etc to begin with.

You're thinking of fast and slow twitch fibers (I think there's two subtypes of one of those...) IIRC you start off with a combination and can slightly tweak the amount you have through training. So for clarity you're using the same muscles but relying on different fibers.
@nos push-up variations, there's a lot of bar work you can try if you have a pull-up bar, L-sits, handstands

I just want to go home and play wildstar all night. Not be at work and not play wildstar all night.

I have failed. Lost round 8 so now 5-2-1. I might finish top 16 and get some shitty boosters.
