StarCraft 2's premier team competition returns!
Leftover prize money thanks to merch sales will be allocated to a new tier of events serving as a qualifier into the main event. Introducing: WTL League-A.
For the winter season, 4 teams will fight through an open qualifier into the new, 8 team WTL League-A, alongside bottom two finishers of the summer season: Platinum Heroes and SSLT, plus top 4 finishers of WTL Summer's qualifier: Alpha X Drakes and Invictus Gaming.
Teams wishing to sign up for the qualifier can send a sign-up email to scboydoll@126.com, titled 2022WTL WINTER [Your Team Name]. Please download and fill up the sign-up sheet from here (File - Download), and attach the file in your email.
Additionally, please include your team manager ID, contact info (Discord) and your team's Liquipedia page, if none available, please include screenshots of your players' ladder profile (3-10 players).
And there is more! A special 2v2 event will take place later in the year with a $10,000 prize pool. Details will be announced at a later date.

Qualifiers: September 9 - 11
WTL League-A phase: September 12 - 18
The entirety of League-A will be broadcasted daily at 12:00 GMT (+00:00)

Single elimination bracket.
WTL Playoff all kill format.
Top 4 advance to WTL League-A.
WTL League-A
Double elimination format.
WTL Playoff all kill format.
Top 3 advance to WTL League-S (main event).
Prize pool
WTL League-A
1st: ￥ 5000 ($723)
2nd: ￥ 4000 ($579)
3rd: ￥ 3000 ($434)
4th: ￥ 2000 ($290)
5-6th: ￥ 1000 ($144)
7-8th: ￥ 500 ($72)

Keep in mind sOs didn't retire because he is going to the military. He retired because of lack of results.

I need to confirm with admins about exact details, but I believe he could if he transferred before roster lock.
EDIT: Oh nvm. Club NV won't be playing in the qualifier. I guess something changed on their end.

NV cited "emergency personal issue" from player(s?) as their reason for cancelling participation in the qualifier.
