INTRODUCING THE PIG STY FESTIVAL!
The PiG Sty Festival will be a week-long 24 hours a day event where we can enjoy loads of high level pro games (the main show), entertaining pro show matches (side shows), plus other frivolity (carnival games) - all wrapped up using a similar mechanic to the subathon.
Wait! Is this SUBATHON 2.0?
Yes (kinda), the timer is back! And instead of having sub goals we’ll be having dono goals, where HALF of the proceeds will go towards expanding the prize pool, paying pros to do fun show matches and for a caster to co-cast the finals! Even if the timer does not last the whole way, we’ll have tons of fun and the tournament will run no matter what with a minimum prize pool of $2,000USD.
This event will be capped at the conclusion of the tournament. We are not underestimating Twitch chat this time
FESTIVAL DETAILS
Starts: Monday, October 25 2021 at 21:00 GMT (+00:00)
Concludes: Sunday, October 31 2021 with the Grand Finals
Daily Schedule:
- Morning segment ~21:00 GMT (+00:00) to 01:00 GMT (+00:00):
PiG to host featured Pro Show Matches. There will be Pro v Pro show matches, plus ones against viewers
Afternoon segment ~01:00 GMT (+00:00) to 06:00 GMT (+00:00):
PiG will be completing goals, taking breaks, eating etc
Evening segment ~06:00 GMT (+00:00) to 11:00 GMT (+00:00):
Pro Tournament
Sleep segment ~12:00 GMT (+00:00) to 20:00 GMT (+00:00):
Tournament/show matches will be replayed for EU/NA viewers while PiG sleeps
Stream Details:
The festival will be streamed on www.twitch.tv/x5_PiG in English. Non-english casters may apply in this thread to stream and cast the Pro tournament section.

PRO TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Format: The format will be 4 x 4 GSL groups each playing best of 3s. The top 2 of each group go into a single elimination top 8 bracket. All quarter finals matches will be best of 5s. Semi finals and finals matches will be best of 7s.
Schedule: The group stages and top 8 bracket will run regardless of the festival happenings. This means that if the timer runs out, for example on Day 2, then the rest of the Pro tournament will still play out and be streamed by PiG - just without the other segments.

Aim: How long can you last in a game vs Scarlett! Have you ever wanted to be smacked in the face by a starcraft pro? This may involve floating buildings or other shenanigans to extend the time longer while Scarlett basically plays whack-a-mole.

3. HIDDEN NAME TOURNAMENT

Format: We've hidden 4 players' identities from you and from each other.They'll play a Bo1 Swiss format of 4-5 rounds to compete for prize money. Then we'll do the reveal. Each player will guess who their opponents are. If no one else can guess who they are, they will earn bonus prize money.

Format: Like Wormtongue, PiG will whisper in Gabe's ear to tell him to do strats based on what the viewers demand. Will Gabe be able to be played like a puppet? Or will his try-hard instincts rebel against what will surely be meme builds.

Format: In a DreamHack Winter rematch, these pros will be fighting for a prize pool, but will be tempted by $$ bounties we've placed on random/silly strats. For example, do 5 bane drops, only make expansions off centre, do offensive recalls.

What is a subathon?
A subathon is when you live on the wild side and allow Twitch viewers to expand the voyeuristic and/or parasocial relationship even further than normal. Should you succeed, you will experience both pain and pleasure. NEVER attempt an uncapped subathon lightly.
