You have to play like an absolute god if you’re going aggressive bio/tank every single game. Notwithstanding wrists I said I’d have changed my vote to Byun if it was a Bo3 as I could see him blowing Cure away in a few games, but playing on that knife-edge for an entire Bo5 and the guy with the more solid and less high-risk, high-reward is going to make inroads. Great day of action nonetheless! Apparently he suffers far less from his wrists at home because he can setup the desk height / chair like he wants to, unlike at GSL studio (they are too poor to afford such desks / chairs? :|). Nonetheless, he should maybe stop playing for a few weeks like Maru and try to do something, because he could make the problem bad enough that it hinders him even after his sc2 career is over maybe? It seems unlikely GSL wouldn’t accommodate such things as part of setup, I mean Flash’s ruler is more famous than many pro gamers after all. At least I hope they would provide for such things, it sure as hell beats pauses for wrist pain every time Byun is in the studio. I hope he can get on top of it as he’s a legend of the game and thrilling to watch, what makes him so good makes it hard to see how he can transition easily. Namely grinding out obscene amounts of games to hone his all-action style. More so than even other players who have had issues, his sheer workload and style of play are murder on his wrists. The GSL set up is probably the least comfortable I've ever used at a tournament unfortunately Well I have to defer to the pro here!
Would they not accommodate requests for adjustment or are you stuck using what’s laid out there?

This may seems like a joke, but if Byun couldnt work out how to reduce his wrist problem during GSL run, could he just play in the EU tournament instead? Is it only available for EU players in those tournament? I am saying this because if this problem keep going, Byun might not have enough EPT points to get to IEM next year, and have to go through the gruesome Ro.36 and a lower seed in the tournament again.

sup scarlett big fan, im also curious about this. seems they would want the best performances possible and its not like they cant adjust the camera with the desk..
It looks like byun is having nervous breakdowns during matches. Cure eluded to this in the postmatch interview, and just the fact that he streams right after GSL does not make any sense, i don't care what kind of setup he has at home.
I obviously am not certain but I think byuns problem is at least partly mental

I personally don't get this and from my view the only problem could be the height and size of the table. Everything rest can be played around. The chairs looks like they can be height adjusted, so if the table is too high, you can always use the Nathanias WCS height boosting device under your feet when you boost your chair up. But if the table is too small or too low, you're screwed. I expect the tables to not be height adjustable because of the camera/studio settings(so it looks nice and equal on the studio shots)
I hope Scarlett will tell us more.

The main problem for me has been audio. The white noise they play in the headphones is so loud it hurts your ears. Until I got good noise cancelling earbuds it was impossible to hear game sounds so 1 season I even tried to play with earplugs to block out the white noise; The headphones until 2019 were very uncomfortable at least for me there was a piece of metal sticking into my head always while wearing them; thankfully they listened to feedback for this and switched to the bose qc35 which IEM used
Theres also very little room in the set up in general; I think it's a temporary desk they only set up for the day as they use the studio for various games which need different set ups; we have very little room for legs under the desk and desk space in front of the monitor as well; The monitors are usually monitors from sponsors and sometimes they don't work well with the desk, in terms of blocking space you would want for mousepad/keyboard or not having great height adjustment
The table height can not be adjusted

And obvious big thanks for this.

i thought DRG vs SpeCial was going to be closer, DRG tvz looked really good, lets see how his other matchups are. Cure vs ByuN was really good, im sad for ByuN but overall Cure looked better and deserved the win there. Hurricane vs Ragna surprised me, pretty even match at the end when i expected a win by Ragnagod Hurricane have to play a lot better if he wants to have a chance in Code S.
