It's also worth noting TY had an incredibly successful opening harass, and he still almost lost. I think Maru can take this series. | ||

I don't think Maru made that game as close as it looked. Yes, he pushed in and killed a bunch of bases, but TY had a massive bank that he used to convert all of those dead SCVs into a better army, and Maru's army got absolutely wiped once Maru had to turn home and defend TY's counter push. | ||

I disagree. If Maru killed the air army, he had that game with a superior viking count and superior tank count. Money doesn't really matter if the opponent has units that kill entire armies efficiently - and this case vikings and tanks are critical. Ravens and tanks are very expensive, so his bank doesn't go very far. One thing I want to point out where Maru is drawing a pretty major edge is the air engagements. One of my favorite parts of TvT is keeping medivacs alive. Medivacs greatly increase value of the marines, but they take production away from vikings or ravens (and if you lose your medivacs, you usually have lost your vikings). So far Maru has done a great job killing TY's medivacs. | ||

That day of TSL where Day9 came back and casted with Rotti and every game was an upset. That was the greatest day of SC2 of 2020. | ||
