Having 1 forein GSL ro16 doesn't really prove much we've had foreigners in later stages when there was no region lock. Honestly having 4 more tournaments a year where Koreans can participate I don't think its going to help their scene much it just means innovation etc earn some more money and travel a bit more the main problem that I see is a lack of interest in SC2 in Korea, lack of teams/houses and grassroots. I don't see how letting top Koreans travel to WCS is going to help solve any of those problems. I don't see how taking low-tier korean players money will help develop the Korean Scene. And that's exactly what the missing region lock in Korea is doing. The same arguments why implement region lock in WCS now can be safely used for Korea. If you limit travel expanses then only rich Korean can travel as there are no longer any big teams(except JAGW) who can afford sending Koreans left and right. Because if the Koreans fail(and they can fail) then they're at lost. Obviously the easiest solution is to lock the Korea too ![]() | ||
