I didn't fee like this one was that much weaker though. Dark played like ass last time. herO and Dear lost quickly. it was mostly just Inno steamrolling with 1 build. I mean I guess it was a stronger lineup on paper but they didn't really play all that great

Totalbiscuit bringing the passion. the games last time were kinda meh, because INno and Polt stomped people playing pretty dull matches. This time feels a lot more competitive altho idk for sure
I'm definitely more prone to enjoy the wacky nonsense low econ scrappy games like Drogo vs. Neeb. Though I found Nerchio vs. Neeb also hilarious for precisely the opposite reason. Patience vs. Bly was great, Neeb vs. Patience was also a lot of fun.
To be honest, I enjoyed every game played, though I only came in on Gumiho vs Dream.

I can't judge the play of today. I guess it's mostly disappointment that there are almost no huge Korean names and a lot of repeat appearances.

I hope we'll see Showtime in the next one, the last untested foreign titan. Or maybe Cyan from China?

Repeat appearances are bound to happen, I assume Kespa picks all the Korean players, so it's not surprising the same names show up. And for the foreigners TB probably wants to get some of the big names / fan favorites in every time.

You might complain about no huge korean names, but note that Solar/ByuN/Patience are all semifinalists, while Ryung/GuMiho made a Ro8. It's not that bad.

I can watch those 5 in basically every other online tournament. At this point they could all be GSL champions and I wouldn't be excited but rather go "Ugh, again?". Especially with Byun because he doesn't change his builds up a lot.
Granted these guys are probably relatively easy to get for TB compared to KeSPA ace players and he can do whatever the hell he wants anyway. But it doesn't bring the novelty the first one had with things like Stephano vs herO or Snute vs INnoVation.

More competitive sure, but also because there were foreigner vs foreigner matches. I dunno, but what made the last one better for me was that we finally got some sort of foreigner vs Korean entertainment. Nothing wrong with FvF but we've had it all year already so FvK is still a novelty if you get me.

It's still pretty rare to see good foreigners play them, but I suppose. If you don't count INno, Dream and Hurricane - who didn't really run into foreigners - it was a pretty baseline event. Still; sick format, and good games. The next month will be better with KT/JA.

Of course, there's no guarantee that just because the KeSPA ace players are sent in to play that the games are actually any good.
