I dislike this alot.

You prolly need the gift of bunny .

Well, I can understand if you apriciate if you are fourteen and feel that watching boobs on the computer is somewhat thrilling in case your parents walks into the room.
But if I want to watch HSC with my girlfriend and suddenly strippers and naked girls is part of the entertainment the whole thing just looks like a lot of unmature geeks that needs to grow up. Quite hard to take it seriously.
Imagine a fotball team hiring strippers and tweeting videos. Would for sure make the news for a while.

Strippers happened when the stream was offline

Well.. With the "stars" of European Esport (who Blizzard will support with their own tournament to give them a chance to shine), at the place of the organizer of the tournament, tweeted by the caster of the tournament.
On stream or not, as a part of the scene atleast I lose the respect for these guys. If you want to go to a strip club, there are other times then on an esport tournament. Just like professional athletes would not hire strippers after a game to the arena.

HSC is not a WCS tournament.

There are worse things happening offstream, it's just that people do not know what's happening off stream

this is why starcraft isn't great to watch. game was over like 10 minutes ago even the casters can't say anything. i rarely see games turn around, there is just no comeback mechanic

perhaps you are a heroes of the storm player, but in a lot of games of top caliber players absolutely do not want to let their opponent back into the game even if it means extending it and redoubling the motions to win.

then there's the fact that it's 2-2 and real money and exposure is on the line.
players would hate playing if it was so swingy and all it takes is one misplaced mistake for it to change sides at a bad time.

seriously, comeback mechanic is the first time i've ever heard it described as that lol.
your comeback mechanic is playing well!

I think having comeback mechanics make sense when your average game length is something upwards of 30/40 minutes, it is pretty painful to watch a game that has been won for 20 minutes but takes time to close and where surrendering is pretty uncommon.

except once again it's 2-2, money on the line,
game is newer,
confidence is lower, and how it can be a game of low information. you don't have 5 people controlling things, you have yourself.
games past 20 minutes are rare in lotv, and that includes the process of closing it out.

the point i am trying to make is that the players themselves accept their positions and purposefully drag it out to make sure their chances are as high as possible, on both sides of the field. what does that mentality have to do with the game itself?

what kind of comeback mechanic are you guys suggesting? lol
like a combo break in a fighting game? = a button to kill things randomly in starcraft?
bonus gold for killing heroes on killstreaks? = less income for a player on more workers?
kinda grasping at straws here no matter what it is.

in an rts, you bend the rules by using better tactics. that's how you get more efficient, that's how you catch up, that's how you make a comeback within a game, and your mentality outside of a game changes the outcome of your proceeding ones.

I know and I understand that.
Might be why we see a lot of 15 years boy enjoy this and play the game. Meanwhile the girls do something else.
If you go to a local esport tournament to enjoy some computer games, get greeted with strippers and sexistic jokes and nudity on screen, it "might" scare the girls away. Thought about that?
You dont need to have a master degree in feminism to understand why that make scare girls away.

I was saying I think having stronger comeback mechanics make more sense in a game like LoL where the games themselves can take a long time, but I guess I didn't say it very clearly.

I don't think a lack of comeback potential is a problem with SC2 at all, and there is still things like defending advantage anyway.

The event overall is great.
But it becomes worse when they put condom/dildo gifts with nude girls in it. It does not get better.
Unless you are 12, of course.

Its not a big deal.
There is a party going on there, this is not WCS.
Also, it happened offline after they got eliminated.

Easy to say for.. Let me guess. A white male, 20-30 years old?

Lets say you were a girl, 15-20 and interested in E-sport instead? I think you would feel a bit different.

I'm not a fan of the lap dance thing but that wasn't on stream, the toys I don't mind though. Why would those be offending to girls or even, more offending to girls?

I know and I understand that.
Might be why we see a lot of 15 years boy enjoy this and play the game. Meanwhile the girls do something else.
No shit if you go to a local esport tournament to enjoy some computer games, get greeted with strippers and sexistic jokes and nudity on screen.
You dont need to have a master degree in feminism to understand why that make scare girls away.

I don't think HSC is "a local esport tournament"

I understand your point though. Let's focus on game right now

Well.. MMA is cleaning house.
