Looking at his results, he seems to be pretty good in taking money from foreigners and that's about it. Even looking at WCS points only (a very favourable metrics for such an avid collector of small trophies) he is not even top 5. I was not following LoTV much so far however, he indeed seems to have a pretty good headstart in that. WCS points is a kind of bad metric because WCS Foreignland skews everything. PartinG and Rain were among the best players in HotS but this was the first year they got enough WCS points for Blizzcon. Fantasy made Blizzcon without winning anything at all, Solar didn't make Blizzcon despite winning Dreamhack Stockholm (he beat sOs a few weeks before Blizzcon, by skill peak he is easily top 5 Zerg in HotS) and making more points from GSL/SSL.

it's always the time, some of the bets looked hilariously bad in HotS too.

Yes, it is a bad metric, but it is bad because it makes people like Solar look too good. "Didn't make Blizzcon desptie winning a random foreign tourney" - how does that even make sense? There are probably more then 16 people who won a "premier" during the year ... Beating one player also does not prove anything. It's really funny to see how people repeat these random arguments for a player of their choice at random places - by this logic, you can make a case for almost anyone with an achievement to be "top X of Y". I am surely not against hyping people up, or blind personal fandom, but any unwarranted statement about someone being "one of the best" makes me wanna argue, particularly after that stuchiu massacare.

Only 3 people won a premier and didn't make Blizzcon. Solar, Curious and soO. 3 people made Blizzcon without winning any tournaments, Dream, Rogue and Fantasy. So there you go. And you're not arguing, you're dismissing. "He won premier tournaments? Foreign tournaments don't count for anything even if you win them by beating KeSPA players."

One question - there will be this DreamHack, that is great. But what else? Does anyone know? Any "WCS 2016"? When does the Proleague 2016 start? Why does not IEM include Starcraft 2 into all their new tournaments - is it the final end of Starcraft 2 at IEM???

There were many hints towards a WCS 2016 being a thing though

HuK, PtitDrogo, Bomber, Bunny, TLO GO!!!! And I of course want to see the best match TLO vs. Lilbow and a few tweets following it!

WCS will be a thing, they're just late with making up new rules as usual
Messioso said IEM would be fine

IEM is happening and planned for many venues, but it is never with Starcraft 2 ... is SC2 so unpopular that they stopped supporting it?

CS:GO and LoL are way more popular so they do more events with that. But they implied there will still be SC2 at some IEMs.

It wasn't with sentries I take it? Relying on sentries in a game where the attacks happen earlier and more often, is not a great idea. There is less time to build up energy.
I have seen some people doing some adept and immortal thing. But the success was very limited, and it seems to have gone away. At least in the streams I've been watching.

I would never think I will ever say that, but ... isn't it time to start thinking about buffing forcefields?
