What is a fair bet?

A bet which incorporates realistic odds i guess. 1:1 for Lilbow vs Life isn't fair (unless the lilbow fans are really that blind)

A year for me if Life loses, 2 months for Yonnua if Lilbow loses? For good measure, I'll include a Life 3-2 victory under "Life loses".

They don't have space in their schedule for 8 bo5s, and Blizzard are probably afraid to play off-stage matches like they did in 2013 because we went at them pretty hard after the tournament. This is the only way all 16 players are ensured main stream focus.

Yes :-( Because they need to fit there all the Heroes of the storm games to strengthen it's position against LOL ... :-(

Because they care about WoW, HotS and Hearthstone as well. Starcraft II already receives attention that far outmatches that of the other games, expecting them to push out tournaments for their other games completely is pretty shitty. You probably know how you would feel if the situation were reversed.

Wait, why are people trying to sigbet me? I think Life is probably favoured, but I think it's plausible that Lilbow wins too. It wouldn't surprise me, like some other results would.

Lilbow wins. The recent form of Life is very poor.

Give me a sigbet

I am sorry, I am a newbie ... what is a sigbet?

You bet on something. In your case, it would be on the result of Life vs Lilbow. The winner of the bet decides what the losers puts in his signature for a determined period of time (usually between two weeks and three months, can go up to one year or more if you like risks).

Practical example in your case :
-You bet on Lilbow beating Life and Zeal bets on the opposite. If Lilbow beats Life, you get to decide Zealously's sig for X days/months/years. If Life beat Lilbow, he gets to decide your sig for X days/months/years.

Hmmm, what is it for? What if someone loses a sigbet with 5 opponents? Who of them decides the signature? Any examples? :-)

What is it for? Mainly for nothing. As for the sigbet with 5 opponents, it depends what you mean. If the guy lost 5 independant sigbets, then he has to do it one of two ways : either his sig belongs to one person and then to the next etc, or his opponents decide that they divide the sig among themselves (with 5 people it's a bit much, but doable with 2 or 3 people). Typical example : The_Red_Viper, at last BlizzCon, made many bets, and lost them all. He had three lost bets of a 3 months duration, and then one lost bet of a one year duration. So the first three months after it happened, his sig was divided in three and each of the winning bettors had their part, and once the first three months were over, the one year bet kicked in and is still in effect.
Now, if the guy lost a single bet to 5 people, it's basically the same thing, except it's agreed before when you make the bet.

OK, thanks a lot for the explanation. But what do they put there? Any examples?

"Chelsea forever?"
"Matchfixing is my hobby"?

It depends. It is most usually an acknowledgement of the winner's favorite player's greatness (à la "TaeJa is the best player in the world") or of the loser's favorite player's badness (à la "Life sucks hard and is so bad he'd lose to avilo"), or it can be something entirely different (like The_Red_Viper's "MKP why??????", and someone had "NaNiwa did nothing wrong" before too).
Real-life examples :
"JaeDong's so bad he's not even a Kong anymore"
""Mech my day and show me your kung fu!" I say in my dreams. I am OtherWorld and I regularly dream of Avilo meching it happen all over my roaches. He is my hero, my role model, my Romeo. Everyday I find inspiration in his mech play."
"I love ALL dong. But Jaedong is the biggest, the best of dongs. <3 Jaedong, the god, destroyer of France."
" Bomber is the best player in the world "
"MKP why???????"
"Quantic did nothing wrong"
"NaNiwa did nothing wrong"
"LYGF did nothing wrong"

In all seriousness, Life's not looked impeccable over the last few months and Lilbow has really solid PvZ. He's also shown that he can handle the pressure of defeating major players, even when he's down in the series (being 0-2 down vs Hydra and basically dead in Game 3 to winning the series). He'll also have a massive crowd advantage over life because he's the foreign hope and Anaheim love that shit. Could definitely see him beating life but it'll probably be a close-ish series either way.

Hey with Grand Finals less than two weeks away... What happened to this year's "Road to Blizzcon" articles ?
Looks like we'll get one big preview article instead of one for each player ?

Some of the bet results are pretty lame, what is the point when only a small closed group understands why is it funny (e.g. "MKP why???" - even I have no idea what is that supposed to mean) ... It's much better when the sig's humiliating factor is easily understood but as many people as possible for greater effect.

Also, Naniwa actually did not do anything wrong, so that doesn't make no sense at all.

MKP why???? dates back to the infamous MKP² vs ByuL PL match. As for NaNiwa, well I don't know if you recall but there was quite some controversy back when he did the infamous 0-1 into retirement tactic.

"I am a fuc*ing moron"?
"Chelsea forever?"
"Matchfixing is my hobby"?
What? :-)

Thank yoooou so much, this seems like a real fun :-)
I am not at all a fan of Lilbow, but I believe, Life really stopped playing well, so I have no problem sigbetting against Life with Zealously :-)

Hey with Grand Finals less than two weeks away... What happened to this year's "Road to Blizzcon" articles ?
Looks like we'll get one big preview article instead of one for each player ?

I hope we get something along those lines... Those articles were awesome.

first preview is supposed to be released on Sunday

EXCELLENTE!
