He loved playing this game, SC2, but all of his friends told him that game wasnt popular, that what was the point of playing alone, that he should be playing games like dota2 or LoL, but he couldnt help it. He just loved the way the game played out, how he could control everything, the mindgames, the strategies, the 1v1 battle of ego. But he never got the chance to play outside of his region. Not really. He was stuck in a place where the ping wouldnt let him play in the popular regions like NA or EU and even though KR was better, it was still 200-300 ping, but he kept playing and playing and playing and one day they finally started running regional qualifiers. But he could never get out because they grouped his region with Korea, but he didnt give up, never gave up. People mocked him, he never got recognition for his amount of work, got less opportunities, but he couldnt give up. Never gave up, because this was who he was. He could never be the best, he knew that, but he wanted to be. And finally, finally he got to play in an international competition, but despite being one of the best locally, he just couldnt control himself. The nerves struck him, he kept thinking about winning, losing, failing his team, his friends, his family, his country, knowing that every mistake was flamed, every achievement ignored. He couldnt control his hands, he just kept thinking about how he only ever gets this one chance an year to play on local ping, that hed be forced to play the ro32 with 400 ping, how this is his only chance. He fails. But he gets back up again and again and again. is this about fucking Has? is it?

I know that you can write pretty well ![]() My point was that most people watching sc2 (in the west, aka foreign sc2) don't get hyped for koreans anymore. This might not be true for people here on TL (and even there are exceptions), but we are pretty much the hardcore audience. You might not like this POV (i don't like it either), but that's how it is, foreign people simply prefer to cheer for foreign people, it is how it is.
